I have a problem on my Office XP installation: Every time I open an office application it prompts me to agree to the EULA. If I run Outlook with Word configured as the Editor I get 2 prompts for accepting a EULA. I can close the application and re-open it and will continue to get the prompt every time. The product is activated and only loaded on a single PC. What is the problem? Any help would be appreciated. Paolo L.

  • 5. Can't click in document area with mouse or use scroll bars, exception error
We have many users using Microsoft Word 2002 SP2, Windows 2000 SP2 and SP3 that are experience problems 2 to 3 times a day while typing in a document. In the midst of typing they find that they can no longer click with the mouse into the document area. Also they can no longer click on the scroll bar to move up and down the document. The toolbar and file menus still respond to the mouse. The only way to fix the problem is to close Word and restart. In many cases WINWORD.EXE thows an exception error very shortly after this condition begins to occur. Many users also report that shortly before the problem occurs the autocorrect feature to auto capitalize a sentence stops working. However, we have disabled autocorrect and the mouse problem still occurs. The PC hardware brand and types of mice, and virus software varies between users. We haven't been able to find any common factor yet. We have tried turning off background spell checking and grammar, all autocorrect features, as well as auto recovery but none of these have seem to impacted the problem. This has stumped us and has caused much grief with users who type all day long in Word. Any suggestions or known causes of this problem? Thanks you, Curtis

25-character CD Key Code problem

Postby njm1 » Sun, 22 Feb 2004 04:43:25 GMT

Hello,

I purchased a used pre-loaded PC with Microsoft Works Suite but it won't
let me open Word without a 25-character CD Key Code. I do not have the
CD jewel case because the software had been preloaded. The key code on
the PC doesn't work, and the key code on the MS Manual doesn't work
either. Would be grateful for any help from anyone. Strangely, all the
other software works without a key code and only Word asks for it.
Thanks to anyone who might help.
