I would like to keep track of change made to a document with the date and time each change is made.

Hi I'm using Word 2002. We need to create a style that saves a background colour but the colour should only apply to the selected text and not to the whole paragraph. This can be done manually - which is what we currently do - but I can't find a way to save it as a style. The only shading options seem to be attached to paragraph styles which will then colour the whole line. Does anyone know of a work around for this - or even if I'm missing something obvious? Thanks very much

Can't Use Arrows to Navigate Text in Text Box

Postby QW5zb24gSHVudGVy » Fri, 27 Feb 2009 11:24:04 GMT

For some, but not all, text boxes, when I try to use the arrows to navigate
text within the text box, they instead move me to other text boxes in the
document. Not being able to use the navigation arrows to go to locations
within the text box makes editing very slow and cumbersome.

If I copy a text box that allows text navigation using the arrows and try to
edit it, I still am unable to use the arrows in the new box -- they just move
me to other text boxes.

Help!

Thank you.

4.new text boxes added other text boxes 'blink' can't select new

MS Word 2007, XP
Making a work instruction procedure.
Inserted, cropped, and aligned pictures.
Now adding text boxes:
Inserted first Text Box, formatted, and aligned.
When additional (and subsequent) text boxes are inserted, the first or
previous text block starts 'blinking'. Both the new text box and the
previous show as being selected (i.e. blue outline around the both boxes are
active). But the previous text box outline is 'blinking'. Under Text Box
Tools Format tab, Size selection boxes are blinking as well as Create Link
under Text (Break Link can not be selected). I can scroll down to the next
box, but when I stop scrolling, it 'jumps back' to the blinking box.
Clicking in the document 'turns off' both the blinking box and the new box.
Then when I try to select the new box, it starts all over again and 'jumps
back' to the previous blinking box. Driving me crazy!!
