using File Open the Details view shows only filename, not date

Postby UmV2IEJldg » Fri, 14 Mar 2008 00:31:01 GMT

Since I switched to a computer with Windows Vista, I am having trouble with
the View Details option when using File Open with Word (2003 and 2007). The
only information displayed is the file name. I am not getting the date
modified, file type or size. This makes it hard to sort the files with most
recent on top.

In teh Open dialog right-click the Caption Bar & add the columns you want to
have included.

1.Show date but not time in file details?

Hello...this may not be possible, but it's worth a try...

I would like to send a bunch of files to someone without having the
"details" in the folder view show the excact time the file was saved. Is
this possible?

I know I can hide the details on my end, but if their folder preferences are
set differently, will the time still show up?

Thanks!

5.Show in Groups View: DATE:None does not display Date/Time sent

The date/time is missing for messages in a group (which I didn't create)
called "Date: None" ONLY when in "Show in Groups" view. If I return to the
Normal view, the date/time shows.

I don't know if this matters, but the message in question contains a Word or
.rtf document that was generated by an application built on the .NET
Framework called Hard Dollar Bid Build or just Bid*Build. I can't see where
the .dot from Bid*Build would have a setting that would cause this view to
happen.

So, to be sure this is clear:
* a message containing an attachment is generated by an application called
Bid*Build (how the document is produced may be irrelevant - just want to be
complete in my explanation of the issue)
* based on Bid*Build's code, the message is sent via the default mail client
* when in Show in Groups view the message is place in a group called "Date:
None" and does not display a time/date
* when the view is changed to Normal, the date/time appears as it should.

Please advise why this would happen.

Thank you.

Greg
