We are installing new printers at my office. I have letters set up to print the first page on letterhead and regular paper for the additional pages. When I select the new printer it doesn't recognize the tray settings I have selected and pulls everything from Tray 5. We have set the drawers up on the old and new printer exactly the same. Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem? Thank you.

Sometimes we need to put electronic signatures into our letters in the format of jpeg's, tif's, or png's, then email them. Is there a way to protect these signatures from being copied? If you protect the document, or a section of a document, it doesn't stop people from being able to copy the document into another document and then use the information. Is there a way around this?

I guess there is no way to remove the ext from the filename except if I write
a macro?

Hi Storm,

You can't really remove the '.doc' extension from the field - if you try, it'll return next time the field is refreshed (eg via
Print Preview or printing the document). And, if you're going to use a macro, you may as well incorporate it into the underlying
template and have it update a 'filename' bookmark.

1.Subdocuments Filenames to be include in TOC page numbers - Word 20

I'm Creating a Large Document with almost 400 subdocuments, each about 15
pages. I need to place the subdocuments Filename in the TOC ie:

WP0001-1
WP0001-2
WP0002-1
.
.ect

Additionally it needs to place in the Master Documents Page Number

I tried the field Code "{ FILENAME } - { PAGE }" but only it provides the
master docs filename.

2.Include page number prefix in toc page numbers

Hello all,

I have a series of documents where the page number prefix changes per
section; i.e. BR00{Page number} etc.

Is there a way of including the prefix in the TOCs page numbering?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

5.TOC page numbers to include chapters

Word 2003 SP2, Windows XP.

I have a user who wants her TOC to include the chapter numbers. She has her
page numbers set up as 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, etc. The 1 represents the chapter
number and the second number is of course the actual page number.

Is there any way to accomplish this?
