  • 4. Prompt box for format after pasting disappeared
Until a few days ago, whenever I pasted text from one place to another a small box would appear giving me the option to retain original formatting or adopt the formatting of the place I'd pasted the sentence into. This has stopped happening and the copied text just does whatever it feels like (usually changing to font size 12) until I highlight and alter it. Where do I find the setting to switch this box back on? I looked in options but I don't know what it's called so couldn't recognise it if it's there. Similar problem with help. Can anyone help? Thanks. Joan

Hi Bob,

If you had a context choice to resize a picture in Windows Explorer or Insert=>Picture it was likely from a 3rd party product being
added to the Windows shell (right click) choices, or using 'Open With' first, rather than a MS Office Word feature. There are a
couple of graphics utilities that offer that as a context feature.

1.Default size for ALL pictures when inserting multiple pictures in

I have an End User that needs to insert 50 - 100 photos into Word. The photos
are all very large in size and can only get one photo per page. She is
wanting them all to be automatically sized to a certain size upon inserting
into the document so she does not have to resize each one individually. Doing
so is taking to much time. Is there a setting so that all pictures that are
inserted are automatically sized the same so that she can get two pictures
per page?

2.Inserting pictures without resizing

Hello,

I would like to insert a picture into my header and footer (logo etc)
and have the ability to move it around.

A picture by itself is not movable in Word, so I first create a
text-area from the drawing options and then insert a picture into it.

Problem is, the picture is always resized! I have a regular 72 DPI
picture for the web and I would like it to be imported/inserted at
EXACTLY its original size.

How can I do this?

Thanks

3.Inserting and Resizing Multiple Pictures

can use to do so?

Thanks for your help.

5.Set up menu to include resize picture option

In Picture Manager one one PC , I have the option to click on an image(photo)
and right click. A menu appears giving the options open - edit - pre-view -
resize picture - refresh thumbnails. I can then click on resize picture which
leads to another menu giving options to resize to various picture size's. How
do I set up the menu to enable the other PC's with the same function.
Thank You
