Flip or Rotate won't work

  • 1. Converting existing text to right-to-left (Arabic)
Hello. This refers to MS Word 2003 (Office Small Business ed.) I embedded some Arabic text into an English document by using insert symbol. (Yes, it was very very painful.) It looked great. Then I saved the file and exited. When I reopened the file, the Arabic letters had been reordered left-to-right, and the text was therefore gibberish. This has never happened to me before. The only thing I can think of is that the document was .RTF rather than .DOC . I hate to loose all that work. Any way I can highlight the appropriate portions of the file and magically reorder them right-to-left? (I tried to highlight and set language to Arabic. Didn't work.)
  • 2. Reproduceable Office 2007 Style Bug - Automatic Highlighting
This bug is reproduce in Microsoft Office Word 2007 SP2 (part of Office 2007 Enterprise Retail) across different machines. Styles created based upon another style automatically has a yellow highlight. 1. Create new Word document in Word. 2. Type "A b c". 3. Select Shading to be 5% grey. Now there's a grey shade behind the text. 4. Right-click on the text and select "Save Selection as a New Quick Style". Accept the default name. You now have a new "Style1" quick style. 5. Save doc and reopen. 6. Highlight the letter "b" and select green from the text color. Next select bold and italics. Now the "b" is green, bold, and italics. 7. Right-click on the still highlighted "b" and select "Save Selection as a New Quick Style". Accept the default name. You now have a new "Style2" quick style. 5. Save doc and reopen. 6. You now see "b" aumatically highlighted in yellow eventhough the preview for "Style2" doesn't show the yellow highlight.
  • 3. Word 2003 Resume Templates
I have been trying to dowload Version:Word 2003 resume templates. I am unable to find version: 2003 resumes to download. I only see 2007 versions. I do not want to upgrade to 2007 just for one template. Is there a way I can download resume templates using Word 2003 without switching to 2007?
  • 4. How to automatically enter text in a letter?
Hiya I would like to find out how to go about autmatically entering worker's names and job titles at the end of a letter. It's a particular letter I use quite frequently where I enter different workers with their jobtitles at the bottom of the letter - it's what you put after a signature - some workers share the same jobtitle. I hope this is clear. Thank you

Flip or Rotate won't work

I can't get my flip/rotate to work in Word 2000. It looks like the whole
menu for this function has been turned off. How can I enable it. I have
Windows XP Home as my OS. Any suggestions? I've tried to search almost
everywhere I can think of in Microsoft.

Those options are enabled only if the current selection is an object that
CAN be flipped or rotated, such as an autoshape. Try creating and selecting
a rectangle (not a textbox) -- NOW those options will be enabled.

How could it have been obvious, it's not even true,
