What does the date in the footer mean? For instance, you could Insert a Field for the date doc was last saved, or date doc was printed, or current date, and then you wouldn't need to do the find and replace at all, just tell Word to update the fields in the doc. I tried text boxes but had difficulty with alignment. Thank you.

I don't know why this is happening. My documents have "Page # of # Pages" in the footers. The field codes ar {Page} and {NUMPAGES}. When I print the documents, say a four page document, the pages print out as follows: Page 1 of 1 Page 2 of 2 Page 3 of 3 Page 4 of 4 Instead fo Page 1 of 4, 2 of 4 and 3 of 4 etc.
  • 3. Forms on Word
I'm running Word '04 on my Mac, and am having a problem when I use the Form Template I created. It's a simple form consisting of a number of text boxes. I would like to be able to create documents using this template, but since the text boxes are locked, it won't allow me to format the text (i.e. Bold, Italic, etc). Is there a way to do this? I tried unlocking the boxes when I was in the document (not the template). This worked, although it wouldn't allow me to click on a single word or a piece of the text. Instead, it would automaticaly highlight the entire body of text in that particular text box, and to make a word in italic, I had to delete the word and retype it in italic. Then, to make matters worse, when I click to re-lock the box, it erases all of the text in all of the text boxes, and I can't Undo it! The only thing I could do is revert to a previously saved version of the document. Please help!

1.Contents showing in print preview wont print.

I have generated a page from a school based system, which fills out data into
a document.

All the text data is added into text boxes for auto alignment and repetition
purposes, and also inserted is a picture.

When I go to print nothing is displayed except for the rectangles I have
drawn on the page.

I have gone through all the usual trouble shooting issues, ensuring that all
drawing objects are printed and the form data is unchecked.

I have also tried changing the file type and using different computers, but
still the same problem of the contents being visible in preview but not
actually printing.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

2.Text Box shows in Print Preview but does not Print

I have been editing a large document with several text boxes containing
pictures and everything has been printing fine. I have just deleted some
text and have re-located some of the text boxes. Now when I print all the
text boxes show up except one...and that one showed up in Print Preview!

I have already checked "Drawing Objects" in Tools/Options/Print.

Can anyone help?
