1. ComputeStatistics not working on a selection
I'm wondering if I can get any further help on this. Martinique tried bravely to help but we ran into a wall. According to VBA help in Word 97, this code should count the number of words in the range, which in this case is the selection. My test code below follows the sample presented in help. Yet, as I discussed with martinique, the resuling number is only occasionally correct. Most of the time it's much lower (sometimes higher) than the correct number. I tried it on another computer, and it wouldn't work there either. Meanwhile, Martinique tried it over and over, and it was always correct. Since I'm following the Help sample so closely, I can't see what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone have any ideas of why this is not working? 2. QUERY WORD MERGE WORD 2000
Where can I find syntax examples? I am merging a query value into word and I get a product with an ask value. I keep getting a syntax error. [BIO]![WT]*askvalue. why is this not working.
3. Cannot see all files in folder doing "File>Open.
Dennis, Windows explorer and the Word dialog viewing options are set differently. Windows explorer options must be set from... View | Folder Options | View ..in Word, you must use the drop-down box at the bottom of the File | Open dialog to determine which files are shown. Please help, it takes time setting the Indents and spacing (and tab stops) 
repeatedly while working in a document.  
It is set automatically on 1.32 Indent which is too much.  I prefer 1.25
The indent and tab stops also does not align unless setting it repeatedly.

Define a paragraph style with the desired settings.

4.Tab/Shift-Tab to indent stopped working

At one point, my ability to hit tab and shift-tab to indent a bulleted/
numbered list just stopped working on me.  I'm unable to find a
solution in Word's help or on Google.  Does anyone know who to
reactivate this feature?  It's driving me nuts that I have to hit the
indent and deindent buttons when I'm trying to take notes.
