Are there any formatting differences in viewing documents in Word 2003 SP1 that were created in Word 2002 in Office XP? Can newer versions of Microsoft Office software always view correctly documents created in older versions? - 2. "tabs" in outline numbered bullets & numberings
Whenever I created outlines in word from the bullets & numberings, the "tab" key would move the outline number/letter to the next level (e.g., from I. to A.). Now, when I use "tab", instead of changing the level of the outline, a tab space is created. I am not sure what I did to change the setting. How do I change it back? i recived a word document containing a picture how can i get this picture out of this word document (the opposite of inserting a picture). i want to open with ACDSee program - 4. In MS Word you could have an short cut key for "find next"
In MS Word you could have an short cut key for "find next" .so that it searches for last searched keyword. Senario: we search for a word we press escape key (to close the find wizard ) to have a full view of the highlited text. To search the same word again we have to go to the wizard and press find next. Instead if there is a short cut key it might be useful.

If you set the "Text Wrapping" to "Behind Text", you can type over it in your document. Yves

Using Office XP Pro. First I tried every possible menu item, then I read, then reread, associated help files. I can't seem to ask the right question so Word can give me a simple "how to." Hopefully y'all can redirect me in the correct direction so I can figure it out myself. I have a one page flyer. The first several lines are centered and not long, so that I have nice clean areas to the left and right at the top into which I would like to insert something. I have problems drawing, so I want to use either a canned image (jpg), clipart, or an autoshape. I tried inserting an autoshape (one of the stars). I was able to get it positioned and sized, but it would not 'overtype,' rather it inserted, shoving aside the text. What I mean is I was unable to get the shape and the text on the same lines. The shape extends vertically for about 3-4 inches, so the best I could do was to put a star in the upper left, and the text started on the line below the star. I'd really rather insert one of Word's cliparts. I could not get anywhere on this. I could not find a simple "how to" when I entered clip art in the help box. LOTS of information, but no step by step instructions.
