I can't work out how to save a graphic in a Word document as a seperate jpg file. Is there a way to do this? If you copy and paste it to a folder it creates a file called "document scrap", not a jpg file. If you copy and paste it to Paint or another graphics program like Paint Shop Pro, it appears as very bad quality.

I am trying to set up a faux letterhead in Word 2000. At the bottom of the first page only I put a graphic that lists the names and logos of organizations we are affiliated with. The graphic is 1" H x 8.5" W, and I positioned it at the bottom the page (0" from the physical bottom of the page). I need it to always stay at that position, no matter what text is typed above or below it. What settings do I need to accomplish this? I've tried every combination I could think of and nothing's working. On another document, I have a graphic set so it does this. The settings are: LAYOUT TAB Wrapping Style: Tight Horizontal Alignment: Center LAYOUT TAB/ADVANCED... BUTTON PICTURE POSITION Horizaontal Alignment: Centered Relative to Column Vertical: Absolute Position 10.2" below page Options:

Auto resize graphic to fit table

Postby TUpTRUE » Thu, 30 Nov 2006 13:35:01 GMT

I've created a mail merge to insert a series of graphics into tables using
INCLUDEPICTURE "{MERGEFIELD "GRAPHIC_FILENAME}" \* MERGEFORMAT .
Is there a way I can automatically fit the graphic to the size of a table
cell?

What I'm looking for is the opposite of the "automatically resize table to
fit contents"; instead, I want to resize the contents (i.e., the graphic) to
fit the table.

If you disable auto resizing in the table and set the cell to an exact
height, the inserted picture will not exceed the height of the cell, but if
the aspect ratio of the picture is different from that of the cell, it may
not fill the width or may be truncated. If all the pictures have the same
aspect ratio, then you can set a preferred width for the cell as well (I
have done this successfully for a membership directory where all the member
photos were in at 3:4 ratio). Remember to set cell margins to 0".

1.auto resize text to fit in fixed size text box using word

I have a document that inputs text from a word VBA form into a text
box.

This is done by using a bookmark placed in the text box then running
the following command

.Bookmarks("part1").Range.Text = txtpt1.Value

The problem I have sometimes the text is too small for the text box and
other times it is too big so once my code has finished running the user
has to manually resize the text font size to fit the text box.

Is there a way i.e. VBA code that will auto resize the text to fit the
size of the text box

Many thanks

2.Turn off "auto fit" in Smart Art Graphics

I am creating a flow chart that does not fit the "automatic" Smart Art
layouts. I am able to change shapes, but the "Auto Fit" is driving me nuts.
I've tried to turn it off in text boxes by selecting shapes, selecting text,
selecting the who smart art graphics, and the "auto fit" is greyed out and
set in "on" position.

How can I turn it off for Smart Art?

Thanks

4.Table Default - Automatically Resize to Fit Contents

Word 2003 Is there a way to turn off utomatically resize to fit
contentsas the default setting when creating a new table? I know how to do
it manually (TABLE / TABLE PROPERTIES / TABLE / OPTION / AUTOMATICALLY RESIZE
TO FIT CONTENTS), but I would like to permanently turn it off for new tables.

Thanks.

5.Table resize to fit contents

I want to make a table that will automatically adjust the width of the column
to fit the text. Neither setting Automatically resize to fit contents, or
setting Table->AutoFit->AutoFit to contents seems to do this. The last
character I type always gets wrapped to the next line in the cell. This seems
very odd.
