I remember doing this in the past, but forgot, how can i group/connect two textboxes or other objects with line so when i dragging one of text boxes, line is still connected to it and it dinamically expands? Or at least how i do it with one text box and line.
  • 3. How group textboxes and line and make line expand when dragging?
Hi John, You can use the connectors in Word when the drawings/textboxes/shapes are within a MS Office Drawing canvas frame. In Word 2002 and 2003 you can create a Drawing Canvas from Insert=>Picture=>New Drawing In Word 2007 Insert=>Shapes=>New Drawing Canvas The drawing canvas size is limited to a single page in Word. ============== <<"JohnSmith" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM > wrote in message news: XXXX@XXXXX.COM ... Graphs/charts/objects don't appear when I view through "normal view" -- they
can only be seen if I view them through "print layout" -- this is very
frustrating -- as I can't make any edits - I have Windows XP and Word Version
2000.

thanks for any suggestions

Hi PKW,

Any picture object that has been formatted with a layout
style other than in-line-with text appears only in the
Print Layout and Weblayout views.

Normal view is for quick text editing. It doesn't represent
how the page is laid out.

Normal view will only show images in the text plane i.e. inserted in line.
Normal view is not meant to represent the finished document.

Thanks for your reply, however, that didn't work. Any other suggestions?
Could I need the print drivers re-installed?

Hi PKW,

It's unclear what 'didn't work', as you replied to
your own message rather than either of the replies
you receive. If the graphics are
not formatted as 'inline with text' they will not appear in Normal view.

1.Images in some existing Word documents don't appear.

Running Win2K - Word2K3 fully patched

Since a while now I can't see images anymore in documents
which were generated as WordML (through xslt
transformation). I can't remember when this problem exactly
occurred for the first time and thus heave no idea what
could have caused it.

In the near past these documents have been displayed
succesfully on my machine.

If I open these documents on another machine (same setup)
the images are still visible though.

Thanks for your time.

2.Images don't appear in Office 2003 Word

3.linked images don't show in word 2000

I have tried everything I can think of, but when I create a document in
Word2000 and insert a picture as a link, it shows fine, until I save
then reload the document.

If I use alt F9 it shows as:
{INCLUDEPICTURE "c:\\test\\header.jpg" \* MERGEFORMAT \d}

The problem is I am trying to keep the file size down since the file
will be saved in RTF format later for use as a template in a web
application, and as an RTF file with images in grows in size
considerably this is the only way I can think of.

Any help would be much appreciated.

4.Inserted images/ pictures don't appear in document

I'm using word 2007 and when I insert images into the document I can't see
them- can't adjust them

5.Visio 2000 Image into Word 2000, Image Magnified/Cropped

When I create an image in Visio 2000, and attempt to insert the image into a Word 2000 document, the image is magnified many times, and only the upper left corner of the image is visible in Word. If I double-click on the Word document image to edit the image in Visio, the entire image is visible in Visio edit mode. When I exit Visio edit mode, the image again is magnified with only the upper left corner visible in the Word document

A few months ago, this was an occasional problem. Now, this is a constant problem. I tried copying the image from Visio and paste or paste special into Word, and I tried insert object visio file from within Word - all with the same result. How can I insert a Visio 2000 image into a Word 2000 document, and see the entire image

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks
