  • 1. Inserting a Picture in MS office
I was wondering if I insert a picture such as my signature and send it to someone via email, either in an attachment (Word Doc) or straight in the email, how can I stop the recipient from able to save the picture to their drive. I want them to have ability to see it, but not download it, copy it, or save it to use for their own use. Would the picture need to be a certain format? Would I have to add some type of restrictions too the document, (read only)? Make it sorta copyrighted image and only viewable. Please help with any procedure or suggestions. Thanks in advance, Permanently picture
  • 2. wrap around figure
I have tried many times in many ways to get a figure caption to wrap itself around text. That is, my caption is about a half a page wide and 1/3 of a page in height and the caption is about the same size. Lets say the figure is in the upper left corner. I want to start the caption in the upper right side (next to the figure) and then have it continue across the page, below the figure. I always got Word perfect to do this, but I have never figured out how to get Word to do it. The other posts have been useless for this problem.

How do I draw a line in Word 2007 and then change it's attributes, ie to a double line?
  • 4. Copy/paste from excel to word fails to copy all columns
I want to capture an area from an Excel sheet and place it in a Word doc. I copy the area to the clopboard, and when I paste special/picture(enhanced metafile) into word, it places most of the area selected, but skips a few of the columns on the right side. I can paste the same clipboard capture into another excel page and it is all included. The area is fairly wide, and I will need to resize the picture after it's in Word, but that's ok. When I print the full area from excel on a portrait orientation, it looks fine, and that's the look that I want in word. I am on windows 2000 with Office 2000 9.0.8961 SP-3
  • 5. Drawing objects locked
Using Word 2003 on an XP platform I'm trying to use drawing features to create an organizational chart. For some reason, the drawing objects can only be resized by 1/2 inch increments. This is document specific because when I copy and paste the data into a blank document the drawing objects behave normally. Thoughts?

Graphs/charts/objects don't appear when I view through "normal view" -- they
can only be seen if I view them through "print layout" -- this is very
frustrating -- as I can't make any edits - I have Windows XP and Word Version
2000.

thanks for any suggestions

Try Tools | Options | View Tab | Uncheck Use Picture Placeholders

Hi PKW,

Any picture object that has been formatted with a layout
style other than in-line-with text appears only in the
Print Layout and Weblayout views.

Normal view is for quick text editing. It doesn't represent
how the page is laid out.

Normal view will only show images in the text plane i.e. inserted in line.
Normal view is not meant to represent the finished document.

Thanks for your reply, however, that didn't work. Any other suggestions?
Could I need the print drivers re-installed?

Hi PKW,

It's unclear what 'didn't work', as you replied to
your own message rather than either of the replies
you receive. If the graphics are
not formatted as 'inline with text' they will not appear in Normal view.

1.Images in some existing Word documents don't appear.

Running Win2K - Word2K3 fully patched

Since a while now I can't see images anymore in documents
which were generated as WordML (through xslt
transformation). I can't remember when this problem exactly
occurred for the first time and thus heave no idea what
could have caused it.

In the near past these documents have been displayed
succesfully on my machine.

If I open these documents on another machine (same setup)
the images are still visible though.

Thanks for your time.

2.Images don't appear in Office 2003 Word

3.linked images don't show in word 2000

I have tried everything I can think of, but when I create a document in
Word2000 and insert a picture as a link, it shows fine, until I save
then reload the document.

If I use alt F9 it shows as:
{INCLUDEPICTURE "c:\\test\\header.jpg" \* MERGEFORMAT \d}

The problem is I am trying to keep the file size down since the file
will be saved in RTF format later for use as a template in a web
application, and as an RTF file with images in grows in size
considerably this is the only way I can think of.

Any help would be much appreciated.

5.Visio 2000 Image into Word 2000, Image Magnified/Cropped

When I create an image in Visio 2000, and attempt to insert the image into a Word 2000 document, the image is magnified many times, and only the upper left corner of the image is visible in Word. If I double-click on the Word document image to edit the image in Visio, the entire image is visible in Visio edit mode. When I exit Visio edit mode, the image again is magnified with only the upper left corner visible in the Word document

A few months ago, this was an occasional problem. Now, this is a constant problem. I tried copying the image from Visio and paste or paste special into Word, and I tried insert object visio file from within Word - all with the same result. How can I insert a Visio 2000 image into a Word 2000 document, and see the entire image

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks
