I've tried the steps to creating your own borders. My problem is after I save it in the auto text (headers & footers bar). I take off the temporary page border like directed & then when I choose to use that border in a new document it doesn't look the same as when I saved it. Please help.
  • 2. Fill font character with color, SaveAs jpg?
I'd like to fill a picture-type font with color, the save it as a jpg or png file. I tried copying the character into Paint and using the bucket to fill - it did, but the line borders became very jagged. I tried WordArt, but couldn't work out how to fill it (Except by drawing FreeForms inside the character), and couldn't save it. Any suggestions? Ed
  • 3. Why can't I see my images in print layout on screen?
In the new MS Office, when I create documents, I'm having trouble getting images to stay visible whilst working on the documents. It's very frustrating. I've tried everything, changed all the picture formats, but it makes no difference. With in line formatting or free floating, they still disappear. When I click on them, they appear. Joanna

When trying to format a document with image files, screen shots etc the files will not display or only partly display. Resizing them often fixes the problem but the disappear again when the page is scrolled. Makes editing difficult.

Hi

Test printing the graphic to your HP 8000 printer using the PCL driver that
ships with Windows XP. We've had other reports of this problem with Office
XP and various HP printers that we are currently researching.

You may also want to set the graphic to Black and White in Word by clicking
on the graphic and clicking "color" on the floating picture toolbar.

I hope this information helps you resolve the issue.

1.bitmaps with white background print as grey

I have inserted screen captures (bmps) with pure white
backgrounds into Word 2002. They look fine on screen and
in MS Paint, but they print with grey backgrounds to my
HP LaserJet 8000 PS. The problem goes away if I make a
pdf of the doc. This is new since my switch from Win 98
and Word 97 to Win XP and Word 2002. Any ideas.
