When I insert a jpg as a background picture in a word document (Format/Backround/Fill Effects.../Picture), the size of the picture is shrunk down to 75%. In my situation, it's a 6x8 page size, I insert a 6x8 image file, and the file does not cover the entire page. I have double-checked the size of both the page and the image. So, right now I am just increasing the size of the picture to 4/3 its original size and when I insert it it is the correct size. Does anyone have any clue why it would do this? I have a lot of images to import and it seems unnecessary and a waste of time for me to resize every image. Thanks in advance!

We use several templates with inserted pictures (jpg) of our company logo. Lately, we've noticed that when finished doc's created from the templates are view outside our Windows domain, the jpg logo is not showing up. (e.g. We email the doc to someone outside of our company.) Also when our laptops are not connected to the network, the jpg logo does not show up but when reconnected to the network the jpg shows up again. Picture Placeholders is NOT checked.
  • 5. Background image performance in word
Hi, I have created a word-template for my company. I'm using Word 2007 on a Vista system. I have inserted background images in the header (behind the text, full page). The result looks fine, but unfortunately the performance for the document is not acceptable. Scrolling from page to page is pretty slow and even when I'm typing new text in the doc the cursor can't keep up with my 2-finger-typing. What is the matter here? The background image is a full A4, 300 dpi, png bitmap. The png file is 46 kb, so I can't imagine file-size is killing the performance... Thanks in advance for your help, J.

Mary,

Unfortunately it does not. It's still one single grouped file without an
option to ungroup. Thank you for your effort.

1.pasting from Powerpoint 2007 to Word 2007 - no ungroup funtionalit

Hello, I've built several different detailed organizational charts in
PowerPoint 2007 that has taken me days to accomplish. I've pasted them into
Word 2007 without issues until I realized that it pastes the PowerPoint data
in grouped format and I'm unable to ungroup it. If I ungroup the data in
Powerpoint, select multiple objects, copy, and paste into Word, it's grouped
as a single option and there is no option to ungroup. I need to hyperlink
each imported object in word to bookmarks within the same document and cannot
do so since it sees all of my objects as one entity. Is there any way to
copy the data over and still retain ungrouped capabilties? I dread having to
rebuild all of the charts from scratch within Words drawing canvas.

Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

Thank you,
Golden

2.Create complex graphics in Visio 2007 to use in PowerPoint 2007

What happened to the ability to cut and paste complex geometric shapes from
Visio into PowerPoint? Used to be you could paste, then right-click, choose
Visio object and Convert, now you have to Paste Special, embed Visio object,
then right-click, choose Visio object, convert and nothing happens. I have a
need to introduce accurate elements created in Autocad or Visio that aren't
easy to create or modify in PowerPoint. This used to work now it doesn't. A
workaround would be fine, but pasting the object as a picture gives me no
control.

3.Word 2007: Paste Special Excel Chart Object as Paste Link

When I do this the charts are cropped at the bottom which leaves out
important information like the horizontal axis and legend. I was able to fix
some of these charts by resetting the margins on the chart worksheet in Excel
2007 to Normal i.e. .75,.7,.75,.7 but this doesn't seem to fix the problem
across the board. Resizing the image in Word only stretches it out. The
only other option is to apply a negative crop in Word.

Any ideas? Let me know if more information is required.

4.preserve graphics format when pasting from PowerPoint 2000 to 2007

When I copy text and drawing objects from an existing ppt slide into a 2007
slide (97-2003 format), some of the graphics's features are altered, e.g.:
fill colour. I've tried pasting as a MS Office Graphic Object, and even
copying the entire slide over. I've tried grouped objects and individual
objects, and the colours are all changed, which will require many hours of
revision. How can I get Office 2007 to honour the original formatting? I
need to be able to alter these drawing objects if required, so pasting in a
uneditable format is not an option.

5.Copy&Paste Excel 2007-Powerpoint 2007 PROBLEMS

I have a table in Excel 2007 with some colums in red.
I would like to paste it in a Powerpoint but

1) if I just copy and paste I get a huge table in powerpoint NOT adaptable
2) if I copy and special paste I get a table with correct size but I loose
the red
