  • 1. Toolbar for Picture editing in Word 2007
Inserting a picture is easier in 2007, but simple editing, eg cropping, is difficult because the command cannot be found. I used it once but cannot find it again. Is there an equivalent in 2007 of the floating toolbars we had in 2003? Finding commands in 2007 is very frustrating. Obviously I do not use word the way Microsoft developers do.

  • 3. Inserted Picture Size
Two employees are inserting the same image into Word from the clipboard. One employee's picture takes up the entire page, the other employee's picture takes up about two-thirds of the page in Word. I would like the second employee's image to be displayed as an entire page. I have compared their settings under Tools>Options but both copies of Word seem to have the exact same page margins and settings. If anyone has a suggestion, I would appreciate it. Thank you. -- Carolyn
  • 4. How to turn of create drawing here field
Using Word 2003 SP2. I never encountered this before, but now that I have How do I turn it off? When I click on the drawing toolbar (e.g. to add an arrow or a text box or a line...), a field opens up on the page with the text: Create drawing here. This is so annoying. I just want to draw on the page, any where freely. When I manipulate objects I've created, that field also opens up. I guess that is because some of the objects were created in that field. what the beep. So, please tell me how to create drawings freely on the page without that field showing up? I never encountered this before when working with word, until got a document from the legal team at work. The document forced me to place drawings and objects in a predesignated field... what a pain. thx

Can I pull a color from paint to use for my font in Word 2003?

I can't copy the text into paint to change the color because it messes up all
my formatting. The easiest thing would be to add the color as a selection in
Word... if possible

If you get the Red, Green and Blue values for the color via the Edit Colors
dialog in Paint, then in Word, you can enter those values into the Red,
Green and Blue controls on the Custom tab of the Colors dialog that you can
access via the More Colors item when you use the Font color Drop Down in the
Format Font dialog.

3.How to I add a color to the color pull-down

I just upgraded to Office 2007. In Word 2003 when I clicked the color
pull-down, I got 40 colors to choose from. Pink was second from the bottom
on the left. I've used it in many of my documents and would like to continue
using it.

In Word 2007, when I click the color pull-down I get Theme Colors and
Standard Colors. With the default theme, pink is not listed. I would like
to be able to choose pink from the pull-down. I've found how to get to it
from More Colors. Once I add it, it shows up under Recent Colors. However,
that gets cleared out fairly often.

I've found how to create a custom theme, and make that my default. As I
read about themes, it sounds like these colors are already used for things
and if I change them, it may impact other things. I don't really want to
change the theme (but will if needed).

I would just like to change my Standard Colors, so pink is listed there. Or
make it so Recent Colors always shows up, and pink is listed there. Is there
any way to do this? If not, is there anything closer than creating a custom
theme and then using that in all documents?

Finally, if I need to go the custom theme route, how do I apply that theme
to all of my Word documents? If I set it as my default theme, it will show
up in new documents, but it doesn't seem to effect existing documents.

Thanks for your help!!
