  • 2. Printing Odd-Numbered Pages
I have a thirty-page document that begins with a cover page, followed by several roman-numeral pages (i,ii, etc.) and finally the main body of the text, beginning at page one (1,2,3, etc.). I am using Word 2000 on a Windows 2000 Pro platform. When I attempt to print pages from the main body of the text (i.e., those pages numbered 1-25), using the "Page:" option -- whereby you type in the page number(s) that you wish printed-- sometimes I get the page that I specified, sometimes I get that page number, less the number of introductory pages, including the cover page. In other words, if I specify page 25, I may get page 21, since there are four introductory pages. The long way around this is to repeatedly use the Print Current Page option. I'd like to print odd pages, then reverse the pages and print even-numbered pages -- without printing the introductory pages. Is there an easy way to accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Gordon Biggar Houston, Texas

I am trying to do a project for my kid's lttle league and I want to use word forms to send data via xml. Can i use word 2000 to create a form which will send XML data? The other parent, who is more technical than I, but I know word forms very well. He says if i could send data via xml from the forms which other parents enter information into that it would be easily manipulated. I thank you for your time and help ahead of time.

File Open / View / Details Set as Default

Postby TGVnYWxsaXNhIC0gc3dpdGNoaW5nIGZyb20gV29yZFBlcmZlY3Q » Wed, 05 Nov 2008 08:23:00 GMT

When I OPEN a file, I would like my VIEWS to always be set as DETAILS. How
can I set this to be the default view?

I have gone to Windows Explorer Tools | Folder Options and set the folders
to be like the one shown (details) but when I go back into Word 2007 the old
yucky view is still there. Also, I need the the title of the document column
to be wider, which I can do by dragging it, but I want to set it wider as a
default, and it switches back to the yucky view as soon as I close the open
dialogue box.

This was posted previously but wasn't answered. Anybody???

Use File, Open and select Detail from the View menu. That should be
remembered. If not, tell us which versions of Word and OS you are using.
