I had a Word template with some form fields. I used the Visual Basic editor to write some macro code for when the document closes. I did a Save As and saved the template as a new name. When I open that template, I can't find the macro code, as if it just disappeared? Am I doing something wrong?

  • 4. Mailmerge, open Data Source through macro
Hi We have two templates, one containing a list of clients and one with a standard letter. The one with the list of clients is the source for the other, so we can easily create a letter to a long list of clients. I would like to create a AutoNew macro in the template with the standard letter that opens the "Select Data Source" for mailmerge when opened, but can't figure out how? /Lasse

When I OPEN a file, I would like my VIEWS to always be set as DETAILS. How
can I set this to be the permanent and forever default, ...so that for every
time, for all files and all folders the VIEW is always set to be DETAILS?

3.file open/views/details set details as default in VISTA

I am having an annoying problem (upon file open or save /view ... I CAN'T GET
TO SEE the precious "date modified" under VIEW DETAILS, even if I select it
each time -- I only get the NAME Column under VISTA and Office 2003)

Is this a known problem under VISTA and office2003 ??

system: VISTA Business SP1, Office 2003 SP3

4.Changing default office open and save dialogs View to DETAILS

This must be possible... at least you would sure hope so. The default "View"
in open and save dialog boxes across the MS Office 2003 (and prior versions)
of an alpha list is almost never useful to me or my colleages. How do I get
ALL open and save dialog boxes to default to "Details" AND ordered by most
recent files first (i.e., by most recent "date modified", so I can see the
dates. With many docs in a folder who can remember the name of the most
recent version of a file... If it was at the top of my list all the time,
many hours a year of wasted time changing the view and tons of key clicks on
my 54 year olde fingers would be saved. Please help! Cant think of a single
person I have mentioned this problem to who do not agree!!! Fix it MS, or if
it is doable currently... there is no Help "query" that every produces a
relevent answer... so fix that!

5.File Open / View / Details Set as Default

When I OPEN a file, I would like my VIEWS to always be set as DETAILS. How
can I set this to be the default view?

I have gone to Windows Explorer Tools | Folder Options and set the folders
to be like the one shown (details) but when I go back into Word 2007 the old
yucky view is still there. Also, I need the the title of the document column
to be wider, which I can do by dragging it, but I want to set it wider as a
default, and it switches back to the yucky view as soon as I close the open
dialogue box.

This was posted previously but wasn't answered. Anybody???
