  • 1. How do I install Word 2000 having mislaid installation Code
I had to install a new Windows XP home Edition because my existing one became faulty. As a result I lost my Word 2000 programme. As I have the original disc which I installed it from I tried again but was asked for the Code which would appear to have come off sometime, although the instruction on the case states that "this programme came with an advanced hologram technology that verifies it s authenticity." How can I install this programme in the present circumstances?
  • 2. modify text but preserve formatting
Hi, is there a way to modify the text in a range but to keep the formatting? Specifically, I want to write a macro to trim footnotes, i.e. to remove leading and trailing whitespace. If I do Footnote.Range.Text = Trim(Footnote.Range.Text), I get what I want, but I lose all formatting (e.g. italics). Unfortunately, Trim doesn't work with the FormattedText property. I don't seem to be able to find a way to trim the footnote and keep italics or other formatting in place. Any ideas? Thanks, Michael
  • 3. How do you create a .dot file with Toolbar and Macro, but not from the Normal.dot?
All, I would like to create a .dot file containing a toolbar and associated macro. Currently, I am adding the macro and toolbar manually to the Normal.dot file. Then I save and rename a copy of the normal.dot file. Is there a way to create this file without the extra baggage of my normal.dot file? Thanks

The form is protected except for certan fields and I am pulling my hair out not getting anywhere. Please help me. Thanks, Ryan
  • 5. Where are the custom icons (or buttons) kept?
Hi, I created some macros and attached them to custom icons and wanted to transfer these to other PCs. I know how to transfer the macros but what about the custom icons? Is there a way to transfer those as well? Thanks! Rusty
