Word issue with embedded url in Header while converting it to PDF

I've word doc with embedded url into text in a protected Header of
document everything fine so far, when i generate PDF through Adobe pdf
writer its not picking-up and converting embedded url into link in pdf
file it simply showing as normal text

if i try the same think normal area of word its working fine

does any one have any idea why its behaving like this?

The protected area affectively disables the mouse click action.
So your link would not be enabled.

Try unprotecting the header before you save as PDF

converting word to pdf is automated process, as soon as server receive
file it try to convert it.

the process is:
1 user create a doc save it and submit to server
2. server picks-up file and try to convert it

any suggestion to get that work?

some more information

I've word doc with header in which i embedded the url to name/text,
while converting this word file to pdf its not picking up the url from
name/text, its simply convert it as normal text.

When i tried this with normal url (ie www.microsoft.com) in header pdf
writer able to convert it properly

any one have any suggestion how this get converted, text with embedded
url.

This is the point at which you have to take action

"embedded" URL means... adding a hyperlink to text

here the process...

1. create a new document
2. add header and footer to it, in header add a text saying "Goto Web"
3. select the text "Goto Web" and right click and select "Hyperlink"
option and add url to it
4. now save the document
5. create pdf out of it, you notice that "Goto web" does not have
hyperlink in it!   - in pdf it shows as normal text

do you have any idea/suggestion how to get it working?
