I am writing a script to select contacts from outlook address books and insert the the name, company and email into a document. The purpose being to list meeting attendees and there contact info. The issues I am running into are: 1. personnel from my company - email address inserted is X.400 We use Win2k Exchange2K Native mode - do I need to set something in the script or on the server to change this behaviour. 2. I can only insert this info for 2 - 3 contacts at a time, seems to be a 255 character limit. Can this limit be bypassed some how? -- Rebyter

Multiple sheet Spreadsheet has been ( from up to 12 different sheets) linked to a 9 page word document (on various sheets) by "copying" the cell(s) in The SpSh and then "pasting special" onto the word document either as an MS Object or as formatted text. However, would like to be able to solve problem for any link, i.e. picture, unformatted, etc. Wheelwater
  • 3. Changing multiple Word/Excel worksheet links quickly
Excel I have a Word document that has fifty liked items from a 12 page Excel workbook. I want to change the file names of the Word document and the Workbook while preserving the links between them AND while preserving the original Word document and Worksheet. Doing the re-linking on the newly named files one at a time is too cumbersome (using Edit, Links, Change Link, etc. for each Item) and time consuming. I would like to change all links at once and I repeat, I need to preserve the links. Any suggestions. TIA.
  • 4. Remove a section using chkbox
Hello, (very new to VBA) I have a form with textboxes linked to bookmarks in a word template. My last item to figure out is coding a couple of check boxes. I am having difficutly figuring out the code that when a check box is selected a section (i.e. sec 4) is removed from the word document. If the checkbox is unselected the section is left alone. This will take place under a command button. -- Thank-you and all suggestions are appreciated.
  • 5. table column line up problem
Sometimes tables in Word get messed up and the columns don't line up properly. Does any one know of a quick way to fix that problem? At this point, I either have to recreate a portion or the whole table or fiddle around with lines of columns until they "click" into place. This happens more often than I wish, so any help will be greatly appreciated! -- Greetings from Moscow, Russia

Text box formatting moves text box

Postby c2ltb25j » Thu, 15 May 2008 23:58:01 GMT

In normal Word usage I can change the text margins and size of a text box
using the Format Text Box dialogue and the text box stays in the same
position. However, when I try to do the same operations while recording a
macro the text box gets moved to the top left corner of the page when I click
on OK. How can I stop this happening, or at least edit the macro so the
position of the text box is not altered?

Grateful for assistance.

1.Text boxes keep moving after Format:Text Box:Layout:Advanced:

I'm using Word 2008 (12.1.5), OS X 10.5.6. I am trying to having two-column
text flow around tables and figures that I place in text boxes that I am
trying to anchor. After inserting and formatting the text boxes, I find that
revisions to certain text, or changing the spacing between certain text
boxes and the text causes the text box to 'jump' to another page. Only
certain text boxes seem to be 'volatile', but I cannot discern what setting I
may have implemented to cause this.

I use the Format:Text Box:Layout:Advanced path and set the text boxes with
absolute measurements relative to the margins. I have been activating the
'Lock Anchor' option, but no other option. I do not activate the 'Move
object with Text' option. I cannot detect any sign that I inadvertantly
formatted the text to affect the text box position. I cannot extract any
help from the Help.
