  • 3. Can I run an .exe from VBA?
I am trying to create a fully automated application which will be printing data from Access to a .pdf. We are currently using PdfFactory Pro, which unfortunately requires the changing of registry entries to modify things like the filename and location that it will save in. As it looks like I can't interact with those entries via VBA, I was thinking that I could call a little VB program that did the manipulations. However, I can't find any documentation on calling external programs from within VBA. Is this even possible? Thanks
  • 4. Excel- command button- click event needs to work
Hi, I have created a command button in excel to insert new row. My problem is I cannot get it to insert new row...I even tried a macro--but insert row is greyed out in the insert menu, so I cannot go that route. I need someone to help me with the code for getting excel to insert new row when the user clicks the command button. Thanks in advance for your help. Dawn

1.Excel security patch "replaces" Outlook security patch?

How is it possible that MS06-12 (Excel security patch) "replaces" MS06-003
which was a patch which addresses Vulnerability in TNEF Decoding in Microsoft

From the FAQ section of MS06-12, it gives a table saying "This security
update replaces a prior security update. The security bulletin ID and
affected operating systems are listed in the following table." and then it
says Outlook 2003 is replaced. Then if you look at the Administrative
Installation Info for MS06-12, it says it only replaces Excel.exe, which
isn't one of the files replaced in MS06-003! I'm so confused.

Let me know if I've posted this to the wrong forum...thanks.
