  • 1. Office 2007 Application pane remains transparent after coming up
I installed Office Enterprise 2007, updating my Office 2003. Now when I open an application (excel or word, for example) the pane remains transparent. Clicking on the top bar to activate the window pane, it still remains transparent. My system has Windows XP MCE 2002 os, 512MB RAM, P4 2.4GHz processor. I did not have a problem with Office 2003. I updated my ATI graphics driver, turned off "transparent while dragging" windows options. Nothing seems to help.
  • 2. msocache, where does it belong?
Some time ago I did some house cleaning of my main hard drive. I do this by moving old or unknown files to an external hard drive for a period of time before deleting them. Usually I make note where these files come from, however, when I moved the msocache group of files I failed to note their location. Now I want to move them back to their original spot but I don know where that is. Thanks, Geri

I am having an issue with the Home and Student 2007 Edition not being compatible with the Professional 2003 Edition of Microsoft Office. They should be compatible. Instead of a document ending in .doc, when I try to email it, it is ending in .docx and you cannot open the file with another version of Microsoft Office.

Recurring "accept EULA" message when opening Office 2003

I installed Office 2003 onto my new laptop (I had purchased a copy for my
PC). Whenever I open any Office programs, I am asked to Accept the EULA.
This happens every time. The product is registered and activated. How do I
stop this message from appearing? Thanks to all who post here.

I don't have to do that on my PC - is there a way to just accept the EULA
'once and for all'?

The agreement says that if you don't accept it, after 50 starts the program
will not function properly. I get the message for Word, Excel, and Outlook.
It is a little annoying. Surely there is a way to just accept the EULA one
time and be done.

Thank you,
Lu

I am trying to figure this out. I have Vista, and there is no Start - Run
(if there is, I can't find it).

Click on the round Windows button in the lower left corner. At the bottom
where it says "Start Search", type Run and hit enter.

In Vista I believe it is under Start\All Programs\Accessories\Run. It is there (the Run Command)Hard to remember from the Beta of last year

Sorry about the post I just made, above, the layout of the page meant I
just saw the first post of this thread not the replies.

The solution in Vista is to "run as administrator" Outlook 2003, accept
the EULA, everything then works fine, problem solved.

This is a great site for finding answers.

1.Every time I open any Office 2003 product I must accept EULA again

I just installed Windows 7 Professional and re-installed Office 2003 products
into the clean install of the OS. I activated Win-7 and Office products
successfully, but now everytime I start any Office product (Outlook, Excel,
PowerPoint, Word, Publisher), I get a pop-up window requiring me to accept
the End User License Agreement (EULA).

Is there a way to fix it or turn it off so the EULA does not pop up everytime?

5.Office 2003 and Vista Ultimate, EULA accept/decline

Just got new computer with Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit), loaded my Office
Pro 2003 and as wtih other posts the EULA comes up each and every time any
Office program is opened. I'm the Admin, I've tried the "You must accept the
Office End User License Agreement every time that you start an Office
Program" link from Microsoft, unfortunately not all of the instructions apply
to Ultimate, in that when right clicking on the ap, the "Run as
Administrator" option is under the Advance button, but it is grayed out and
unable to be selected. I did try going in and changing the registry as well
per the Microsoft instructions, but this did not work, unless I was doing
something wrong, which is possible, but with the differences between what the
instructions were saying and what is actually showing on the computer, I did
my best. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
