  • 1. chinese simplified Characters in filenames
I am running into an issue with outlook 2007 attachments that have Chinese characters in the file name. Normally files come in as .rar files (zip) but when I try to open the file I get a message stating file in not a valid rar format. Other local users running office 20033 can open the file without any issue on the same version of Winzip 12.1

I may have to reinstall office 2007 on the same computer. I may have to format my hard disk. I bought the office 2007 with 3 installs. I put one on my home computer, laptop, and work computer. So I have used all of my installs up. Can I reinstall it on my home computer again? Will the computer recognize it is the same install? I don't want to have to buy another software.

Office 2007 trial version comes on our new pc's, and we are still using office 2003. So I unstall anything that says "office" in add/remove programs. Then I install office 2003 plus SP3 for office. I get an error message when I'm trying to set up an email account, after I type in the exchange server and user name, then when I click on the "Check Name" button, I get this message: "There was an error locating one of the items needed to complete this operation. It might have been deleted." This only started happening with our most recent model of computer, with the trial version of office 2007 installed - so I assume it's something in the registry, but I'm not sure if I can prevent this or fix it after it happens. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!
  • 4. All Microsoft Office 2007 programs crash
All of the programs of Microsoft Office 2007 are crashing for me, except Outlook. I do not use it on this computer, but I trust Outlook would do the same thing if I were. I should mention that the icons for Office Word 2007 and Office Excel 2007 do nothing at all. That was another problem, but not of grave concern as I can get them to open with Microsoft Works Task Launcher. I'll use Microsoft Word for example, as I use it the most. I load it, and begin working. After a few second, it feezes and I receive the message "Microsoft has stopped working, looking for solution". It then closes, or I get a message asking me to confirm that it stopped working and it then closes. Like I said, it does this will as programs. Excel is even worse; it normally crashes the moment you open it, whereas Word you have a few seconds. It also happens if I try and do certain things, like change the font. Yesterday, it would ask me if I wanted to submit an error report when it crashed. I did, many times, hoping something would happen. Something did and it asked me if I wanted to run a diagnostic test on Office to see what the problem was. It came up empty; no solution found. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Letterhead template that contains letterhead & continuation page

How can I create a stationery template that contains both a letterhead and
one or more continuation pages? I have tried this using "different first
page header" but then I get an extra contination page added to the document.
If I delete this extra page, it deletes my header and footer from the first
page.

I can just about manage to create a letterhead template but I cannot work out how to get the continuation pages to follow on. All I can manage is the whole letterhead needlessly and wastefully repeating page after page, surely there is a way of having the letterhead as a one off page one and then all subsequent pages with a much pared down content??

4.Printing onto letterhead, with letterhead watermark for measuremen

Hi
I have seen it before where you can use a watermark of your printed
letterhead on word docs. It helps to measure up teh page etc without having
to print to see the layout page.

How to do this ? What format does the letterhead have to be

Cheers

5.Replace old letterhead with new letterhead programatically

We have old letters with a graphic being used as a letterhead. We have
recently changed our letterhead to graphics inside the header and footer of
the first page only. The template created with the new letterhead header and
footer, automatically asks for a writer's name, inserts the date, and asks
for an addressee's name. I am having difficulty replacing the old and using
the new. Also, when I created the new, I wanted to set up a second page
header, but it errored out basically saying that the second page was not
there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
