I have an Excel spreadsheet with names and addresses, one column for each. Followed the steps in help for printing labels with Word. Got it to the point where a different name appears on each lable. Don't know how to get the addresses to show. If it is the step concerning cell range, I cannot type anything that will make OK active to continuue. I have not used Office before now and this is Office for Mac. ??? Thanks.

Will Office 2000 work on new computer with XP operating system?

Postby TWxkYXY » Sun, 02 Jan 2005 01:01:02 GMT

I have a new computer with Windows XP (Home) installed and an older copy of
MS Office 2000 (Professional). Can I load Office on the new operating
system? Do I need to upgrade to a newer version of Office? MS Office 2000
has all of the bells and whistles I need for a home computer.

Yes, you can install it on your new computer, no problem. I have Office 2000
Pro on both XP Home and Pro.

I have an IBM Thinkpad X31 and having freshly installed XP Home I wanted to
install Office 2000 Professional. This has failed with a pop-up asking me to
insert the XP Professional SP2 CD which I don't have. Why would it ask for
this? I have installed this previously on my desktop which has XP
Professional with no problems. What is wrong?

4.Transfer "Access 97" to new computer (XP Operating System)

I'm trying to move my old Office Pro Access 97 program and
files from a Window 98 computer to a new computer with an
XP Home Operating System.

1) I tried to install just Access and PowerPoint from my
Office 97 Pro CD-ROM. PowerPoint works fine, but Access
won't start (message says there is no license on this
machine).

2) I tried copying over all Office 97 Professional
programs and files from the old computer via ethernet
connection to the new computer. All programs work fine,
except Access.

I looked in vain for help on Microsoft support web site.

If you can help me move Access to my new comupter before I
get rid of it from my old one, I'd appreciate an email.
Thanks.
