Can you highlight selected text to highlight with a color?
  • 2. Outlook - Mark Message problem
I checked this option and and it is checked and it only happens every other time, not all the time on a message any answers?? Turn on or off marking comments in a message On the Tools menu, click Options. Click the Preferences tab, and then click E-Mail Options. Select the Mark my comments with check box, and then type the text, such as your name, that you want to display with your remarks in the box. Note Only text you enter next to the previously written text in a message will have your name next to it.
  • 3. Keeps trying to install?
I have had my computer for about six months now, and have had MS Office 2000 on it the entire time, with no difficulties. The past few days, when I click on different things (icons, email messages, etc and so on), a box will pop up that says "preparing to install...Office 20000...." what the heck? ALL of my MS Office Programs are working properly, and nothing has been uninstalled. I have downloaded no updates, nor have I installed anything new related to Office. I know it's "odd", because as I said, if I am in IE, and go to yahoo mail for instance, when I click on my INbox, or a message, or a link in a website...ANYTHING....this same thing pops up. I click "cancel" three or four times, then it just stops trying to install and everything works right. Any ideas or suggestions?
  • 4. Excel files - Saving
Yes, I am just saving the spreadsheets after updating data. The message "The file 'xxxxx.XLS' already exists. Do you want to replace the existing file?" appears as in previous editions. But it saves a copy instead of the original file. Sometimes it brings up a message that the file may have been changed by another user. I am the only user. >-----Original Message----- >Is it possible that you are saving your Excel file in a >location that already has an existing copy of that file. >If you do, it will automatically place a "copy of" in >front of your file name. > >>-----Original Message----- >>Office XP - Why do Excel files add 'copy of' to the name >>when I save? >>. >> >. >
  • 5. Outlook - Forwarding Messages
I've created an "Out of Office Reply" with a rule to forward incomming messages to an external e-mail account (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.). I can get the rule to work OK with internal e-mails but it will not foward the message to an external e-mail. What can I do to remedy this situation? Thanks, Al Ortiz

Office 2000 problems on WIN 2000 Server

Postby Creative Door » Sat, 23 Aug 2003 00:46:22 GMT

Windows 2000 Server has had office 2000 installed on it for about a year
now. Today for no apparent reason, office will not run at all. When you
try to run it, it says perparing to install. Anyone have any ideas on why
this would happen?
Thank you

1.Win Word 2000 to Mac Word 2001 to Win Word 2000 -PROBLEM

I'm having a problem with Word.

I'm using using Mac Word 2001 on OS 9.1.

I am given documents that were created in Win Word 2000. I edit and/or
update the formatting in Mac Word 2001. When the document goes back to
Win Word 2000, the formatting is messed up and the fonts are wrong. If
you click on the text, it lists the font as Univers which is correct but
it looks and prints as Courier (Win Word 2000).

What's the problem? Can't Win Word 2000 handle documents saved in Mac
Word 2001? Is there any way to fix this? I tried saving the document
as Word 6, but it looked even worse.....

Thanks.

2.MS Office 2000, MS Win 2000 Adv Server

I have recently upgraded my server to Windows 2000
Advanced Server from Netware 4.11. Excel, Word, etc...
files stored on the Windows server take forever to load.
The same files on the Novell server load instantly. Both
servers are currently running on my network.

Any ideas, anyone?

in the other user does not appear. when i copy a sheet
which is freezed in an other sheet is working normal but
the old sheet still has the problem. if the sheet is
