Sorry to hit the group with such a basic question, but I'm stuck. When I try to INSERT MSO2007 Pro into the drive, I get blue screen! This is repeatable. I have rebooted the machine to make sure no other junk was running. Virus scan was turned off. It seems like just accessing the DVD blows up things. Can anyone out there advise? • 4. Blank Page Problem in MSOfficeEnterprise2007/Word
I have recently started with my issue of the MSOfficeEnterprise (English version). When I open the Word program, there appears, as regular, a blank page. This page is not A4 size but something else, shorter. In addition to that, the size of the page does not change in the working area if I use the feature "Page Size". If I look after that printing preview, the page is there changed eg. into A4 BUT there is some invisible blank shelter on the top of the page I should print. About top 8-10 centimeters of the page are invisible on the Prin Preview AND dont appear in The printed paper either. Can this be corrected? Is it possible to change the original Blank page into A4 size? How do I proceed? PVPFINN

takeing like 5 minutes to open. Some document works fine (some old, that was

The same problems occurs on other computers than mine with the same documents.

Hi,
I have a similar problem, however it doesn't take that long to open a
document(5 - 10 min.) When the user opens a document from the server (Windows
2000 Server)the document takes from 10 - 15 seconds to open. After the
document is open I can not do anything(document just sits there) I have to
wait problably the same amount of time before I can start(edit) working on
the document.
The computer has Windows XP Professional (new installation, SP2 and all the
updates). Microsoft Office XP 2002 with SP3.
Please Help.

1.File - Open - takes a really long time!

Hello,

I am using Office 2003. When I try to open a file, the open file dialog
comes up and when I click the drop down arrow in the Look In: field, it
takes a minute or two for the directory list to drop down. It never used to
take this long; however, recently, a dialog popped up and said something
about indexing or searching (I didn't read it very closely - but clicked the
OK button), then the next thing I know, every time I try to open a file, it
takes forever to get the directory list.

Any idea how to turn this feature OFF.

Thanks for any suggestions.

2.Word 2002 takes long time to open Word document with missing templ

I have many documents that were created in previous version of Word 2002 in
the network, and they were attached to a template that has been moved or no
longer exists in the previous server.

They are now being opened VERY slowly in word 2002 (takes 2-3 minutes for
few pages document). There is nothing very unique about these documents, they
do have some tables in them. It is very basic.

Is there any fix or patch which can solve this problem without modifying the
Word documents? Any help would be appreciated.

3.Word 2003 Taking a Long time to open documents

I have a user who was recently upgraded to Windows XP SP2 with Word 2003
Professional - all service packs have been applied. All other user's in her
area are Windows 2000 Professional with Word 2000 - Again all service packs
have been applied.

When my user attempts to open most Word / Excel (PowerPoint has not been
tried) files it takes an excessively long time to open these files. These
files were created in versions of Word previous to 2003.

While opening these files there is very little CPU or memory usage -
although Word stays not responding - there are two instances of Word until
the document opens. In several cases, I noted that one Word icon was a
previous version and the second Word 2003.

I have attempted the following:

From Microsoft Document - Article ID : 830561

I have attached both the tempate that the document uses; as well as
Normal.dot - both have failed. And the document reverted to the template
that it was created from.

I have deleted the normal.dot

Deleted and re-added printers.

Ran Office repair

Machine is re-started every night

4.Document takes a long time to open

I have MS Word 2002 SP 2 and windows 2000 SP4. On some
documents, particularly documents about a year old and
likely to be from an older version of word, or mail merge
documents when I open them they take a long time to load,
Not all word documents but a substantial number of them as
the majority are a bit older. What appears to be the
problem??

Many Thanks

5.Deleting block of text takes a long, long, LONG time

When I try to delete selected (highlighted) text, nothing seems to happen for
a very long time. Word 2007 seems to just sit and think, and does nothing for
30s to a minute. For very short pieces of text (several characters) it goes
faster, for medium sized (1 page), the delay is unnaceptable.

This happens regardless of whether I use Backspace, Delete, Ctrl+X, or just
type over selected text.

It's a very big issue when using any macros that rely on repeatedly
pasting/deleting blocks of text, such as any of the translation tools that
integrate with Word via macros (Trados, Logoport).

I'm using Word 2007 SP2 (and a computer fast enough to run most new games,
so you'd think deleting 600 words would not be a problem...)

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
