All, I know that this product is no longer supported by MS. Is there anyone out there who has the Publisher 2000 that came with Office 2000 Small Business? Would you mind sharing with me your 25 character product key? Mine never came with my original HP computer. I've since upgraded my hp to Win XP Pro and so I cannot use the recovery CDs. Can someone help me? the supervisor from MS told me to post here. He said that his product key generator cannot generate keys for expired programs. Thanks, Mundy5

Outlook Journal entries disappear

Postby Azlan » Tue, 23 Sep 2003 20:57:30 GMT

Hi,

I was intrigued and e{*filter*}d abt using the Journal in
Outlook 2002 but on returning to the program the
following day, I found that my entries logged in the
journal had disappeared!

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks.

Do you have any filters set on your Journal folder that might be hiding
the items? Go to View | Current View -- what does it say?

1.Journal Entries (viewing journal entries)

Hi all,

I use Journal Entries in Outlook all the time, but I am having issues
viewing these Entries in Outlook 2007.

I create a Journal Entry against a Contact and Close & Save it. When I
choose to view all my Entries (I open Contact, click on the Activities tab,
which defaults to "Show All Items". For whatever reason, it does not Display
my Journal Entries.

I know that the Entries are there as I either create a dumby entry and all
of a sudden it shows all of my Entries, or sometimes I close Outlook and
re-open it, and once again, it shows all of my Entries.

I then close a Contact and when I clilck the Activities tab again, no
Entries are Displayed.

Can anyone assist me with this prob?

Cheers,
Michael

2.Duplication in journal entries / journal entries not tracked

Hi all,
I use Outlook 2003 as a client for Exchange Server and the my problem
is:
* I double click the entry from the journal
* A new window opens with the link to the e-mail message
* I double click in this link in order to open the e-mail
* I click in Mail in the Navigation Pane
* I click again in Journal in the Navigation Pane and the entry is
duplicated!
I can repeat this procedure up to 6 times and the entry will repeat
itself in journal up to 6 times.

Another question:
Why some contacts keep their incoming messages tracked automatically in
Journal and others don't?
I've checked everything (Journal Options, e-mail addressess...) and
it's OK.
The curious thing about is that for those that Journal doesn't track
automatically their incoming messages, it tracks automatically the ones
that I send to them!.
Any help for these problems would be very appreciated

3.Journal entries disappear

Running Outlook 2007 - I am creating new journal entries (notes) by contact.
So I right-click a contact, select Create New Journal Entry for Contact. I
go look at the Journal folder, and its there. I go back to the contact, clcik
on Activities - they show up. Close the contact, re-open, do the same thing -
NO journal entries appear! And it appears to be random. Go back out of the
contact, go back in, do the same thing, and low and behold, the journal
entries MIGHT show up. They always appear in the Journal folder.
I have run the Office diagnostics - no errors at all.
Outlook.exe is ver. 12.0.6023.5000
MSPST32.DLL is ver. 12.0.6024.5000

Please help - there appears to be no rhyme or reason for when the Journal
entries are displayed in the contact.

4.disappearing journal entries

 	Question
I have a Dell computer running XP pro. My problem is when I create a
Journal entry for a contact and then go to view it via Activities it randomly
shows the entries.

Sometimes it shows the Journal entry the first time I click on Activities,
If I reopen the Contact after I was able to view the Journal I may or may
not be
able to view it again.

The journal feature is not very useful if I can not see the entries

What do I do to get this to function?
Has Microsoft released a fix?
