I'm trying to compress some pictures for a web page or email. The pictures are listed under my picture shortcuts. When I try compressing a picture and hit "OK", nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Are they already smaller than the size you are trying to compress them to?
On the "Getting Started" taskpane, click "export pictures", the next dialog has all the information... -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://www.**--****.com/ http://www.**--****.com/

3.cannot edit pictures in picture manager without local admin ri
WOW! Well who would have known that to be an issue above all else!.... Certainly a goofup there, any way to fix that in a later SP or something? I had tested this on a pc of one of our users, and of course computer name + computer user = no Picture Manger, then changed the computer and BAM it works like it should. now i'll have to change a couple more and actually get them to use it. More training.... Thanks for letting us know! and hope others can get around this strange issue. 5.Unable to edit pictures with Picture Manager
We have users that are unable to modify pictures with the Picture Manager. They are in the Power Users group and have full control of the directory in which they are working. They can modify and work on any other file with Office (i.e. doc files, power point files) with no problems whatsoever in the same directory. If I move the user into the Administrators group, they can the edit the pictures without any problem. Is there a permission issue I am missing? Thank you
