Using Access XP, we have encountered a problem. Every day at 4:55 pm, the database loses connection with the server. The interesting thing is that every other program that runs on that particular machine maintains a good network connection, and the machine itself maintains the network connection. We are running service pack 3, with Windows XP SP1. No other machine in this network exhibits the same problem, only this one...

Currently, I must copy a file with a txt extension to a floppy and place it on a 98 operating system before I can rename the file extension. The ach file extension is the only way the bank will accept it. Is there an easier way to do it?

Thanks for your reply. Interestingly, now I usually get the message "Error: Access is Denied." (apparently from Microsoft's web server), rather than the "This Web page is unavailable" page if I try to go to the officeupdate.microsoft.com web pages.

I fixed the same problem by going to MSCONFIG, the disabling startup folder
and the enabling one folder at a time until I found culprit, then disabled it.

4.inserting web component and web tools

Hi. I was creating a new web page in word 2003. I noticed 2 errors.
1. Under insert, my "web component" is grayed out and I don't know how to
activitate it.

2. Using the webtools toolbar, I clicked on "scrolling text" and I get the
following error message: "This object was created in MARQUEE. This
application is not available to open the object. Make sure the application
is properly installed and that it has not been deleted, moved or renamed."

I do not have FrontPage 2003 installed. Hopefully someone can help me out.
Thanks.

5.Information(wdVerticalPositionRelativeToPage) gives incorrect answers

Grp:

I am having problems with Information(wdVerticalPositionRelativeToPage)
giving incorrect answers
when my header extends down past my page margin. The first time I make an
enquiry for Information(wdVerticalPositionRelativeToPage) I get an answer
that does not take the additional header space
into consideration. However subsequent enquiries are correct. So I work
around the problem by
making a nominal initial enquiry.

I have my view set to ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.View.Type = wdPrintView
before I make
and call to Information. However this does not seem to make a difference.
The answers are the same
whether I am in PrintView or Normal.

I am using Word2000 with XP Home.

Anyone else seen this feature?

Regards,

    Mac
