Hi, I've read through all the posts I could find but none of those solutions work for my user. My user needs Microsoft Office Document Image Writer but it is not present as a printer for her. Also, Microsoft Office Document Image Writer is not an option as a Port or in Add/Remove->Change->Office Tools. Is it possible to add this to an Office 2000 install and/or does anyone know the file location and name for the driver (or if knowing this will even help) ? Maybe I can add it manually. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, bec

Please look into this matter. Since Windows PCs can be set up to require passwords for user logins and to allow only specified users to run specified programs, this functionality effectively already exists IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Perhaps your time would be better spent taking a Windows system administration class.

Size of inserted pictures / screen dumps in Word

Postby RG9scGg » Thu, 03 May 2007 21:31:00 GMT

Quite often I insert screen shots in my Word (2003) documents. I would like
to know if it's possible to change the default scaling of these "pictures" to
say 60% in stead of the default 100%. Or maybe it's possible to select all
inserted pictures and format (resize) them in one step?

I need to take screen grabs of computer screen (I use ctrl alt prnt scrn).
Then paste the 'image' into a word document. At the moment I am resizing
every image.
Is there somewhere I can set a default so that the image is always the size
I want it to be ?
thanks in advance for any help.

2.Minimise the size of a screen dump file

I want to capture screen shots of pivot graphs in Excel
and paste them into Word. If I use Alt PrntScrn and then
paste them into a word document, the word document
becomes too big to email as it grows to a size of a few
megabytes. Is there a way to compress or reduce the size
of the bitmap generated by the screen dump before saving
it to word?

3.Screen dumps disappear from word 2003 as you scroll up and down

When I copy and paste an active window into a word 2003 document it
disappears from view as I scroll down the page. When I return to that part of
the screen that was not in view, that part of the view is no longer visible.
The paste has not been removed as when you switch to print preview you can
see entire image.
