Operating system is Vista (w/Service Pack 2). When trying to upgrade from Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003 to Office Home and Student 2007, I get an error message during installation that says "Error 1311. Source file not found: E:\PA561401.CAB. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it" I have no idea what this means. Does anyone understand it, or the nature of the problem?

I purchased a copy of Office Home and Student from a retailer and tried several times to type in the Product Key, which I located inside the case on an orange sticker that says "Product Key". The error message says The key is incorrect. Verify that you have the correct key, and then retype it. I retyped it several times, continued with the installation without it, and then reattempmted to enter it afterwards several times.

Are all components of Office XP compatible with the operating system XP Home
Media Edition 2005 since this version of Office came out before 2005?

1.How do I burn a text file to DVD in Windows XP Media Center Editio

Media Center's software seems to limit the hardware of the program to
visual/audio data only. I do not want to burn multiple CD's for this data
file. I will try putting the file in 'My Pictures' to see if M.C. can then
access it, but I have doubts as to the results.

3.Lost Activation Code for Microsoft Office XP home editio

When I purchased this computer it already had the Microsoft XP Home Edition
as well as the Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office power Point viewer
2003 software installed. II started with the 60 day trial pkgs. After the 60
days I upgraded. In January of this year I had to perform a System restore
due to my computer freezing on a constant basis. But, before I performed that
task I made a back up disk of every program individually. When I downloaded
the backed up disk(s) All of the Microsoft applications are useless. They are
requesting the activation Code that I simply do not have anymore. I have
over 300 word documents that i can't open and quite a few powerpoint
presentations that I need for work that I can't access at all. I've contacted
both Microsoft and HP. Each company tells me that it's not there problem and
I keep being bounced back and forth between both companies. Please, I am
begging you if anyone can help please do I am anxiously waiting for some help
and support re: this unfortunate yet frustrating dilemma.
