I've inherited a pc with W98SE and Office2002 SP=3 installed. I upgraded to W2K and now have issues with Office. Cannot open Office programs by dblclk on files. When open programs get installer and "need Office 2002 cd rom". Hit Cancel button twice and the programs open and can open and work on files that way. Can't figure out how to eliminate the installer. Not a serious problem, but very annoying. Any suggestions?

I'm having trouble opening my files in Excel whn I try to open the files from certain locations I get the message: Can't find the file C:\path\filename. Control that the name is correct and that the correct path is used. This happens even if I try to open the file directly from it's folder. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

SBA 2006 USer doesn't have permission to logon the SBA files

Postby Q3JpbXNvbiBKZXQ » Sat, 04 Aug 2007 07:08:03 GMT

Everything matches up on our workgroup-user names and passwords, both
computers set to administrator, copy of multiuser file in same location in
shared documents, but still keep getting the error message: User does not
have the permissions to logon to SBA files. I can't find anything else that
could be done!

3.Unable to Link BCM Update SP1 to SBA 2006 SP1

I have a SBS 2003 Premium set up with SBA 2006 Installed on the server and
the BCM database located on the server as well.

The client PC has BCM and is connecting fine to the BCM database on the
server. SBA 2006 is also on the client, and it is connecting fine to the
SBA database on the server. I try to connect BCM to SBA by performing the
following steps:

1) Click on Business Tools >> Accounting Tools
2) Click on Set up Connection to Accounting
3) Select 'Yes' under "Do you want to connect...blah blah blah"

This is as far as I can get. The Browse button under "Database Locator
File" remains grayed (greyed?) out. I am an administrator on the local PC.

Any suggestions?

4.Sync Contacts in SBA 2006 with BCM in Outlook 2003

I have read through responses to similar quesions in this group and am still
dumbfounded that there is not a bi-directional link between SBA and Outlook.

Also, I have tried to export contacts from Outlook into a CSV and then
import the CSV file into SBA and I end up with a mess even after manually
mapping the fields and exporting the contacts full name and address (as
oppsed to seperate fields for first name, last name, address 1, etc.)

Has anyone recently come up with a solution on how to accomplish this. I
recommended SBA to this particular client solely because Microsoft has touted
SBA's integration with Outlook. Thanks for any help!!

5.BCM install w/ Outlook 2003 & SBA 2006 SP3

I have a computer that has Outlook 2003 & SBA 2006 SP3 installed on it. If
you use the Office 2003 BCM install, the BCM toolbar is not available
(probably due to the old BCM sql format). SBA 2006 SP3 will not run a 2nd
time.

So how is BCM installed in this circumstance?

Thanks, Mike
