    Someone else downloaded the new Norton security center. It making it very slow to open up any program especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft access. What can I disable in Nortons, so it will speed up my computer. Uninstall is not an option not my computer but this person can disable some parts of Norton's.   • 3. Office Goes Stupid
    Hello- Silly question but has anyone noticed Office apps, mainly Outlook occasionally will pause and "go stupid" for 10 seconds or so, with the program icon in the top title bar window (extreme top, left) will change from the program icon to the generic icon. After several seconds, 10-15 or so, things come back to normal. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Sam
  • 4. Opening multple files with a batch file
    I've got a batch file that copies files i nede to my HDD from the network, and one of them changes name slightly each time. I can copy "blah*.xls" but i can't open *.* or 'blah*.xls'. Is there a clever way to do this? I've been using start, but it doesn't seem to do wildcards, and neither does excel.exe

Messed up my system.  
Removed 2009 and downloaded MS Office Acctg Exp 2008.
Installed OK
Clicked the "check for updates" link, which took me to OFFICE updates.
No visible update for ACCOUNTING 2008/2009.
Microsoft needs to SLOW DOWN and MAKE SURE what they offer the public 
....installs, links, etc. .....actually work!

MS doesn't even have a discussion group for Office ACCOUNTING!, yet there is 
a link in ACCOUNTING for comments!

Hi, I had to install a new OS on my machine that houses my office acct file. 
Both the new OS and old OS are/were running express 09. I backed up the file 
before installing my new OS and then restored the file after.

It all seemed to work, but when I try to open the restored company file I 
get a message like 'file was created with a later version than the one 
installed. upgrade before opening this file'

5.Office Accounting 2009 - stuck in express mode

Ive run the Office Accounting 2009 express to see how it was, I liked it and 
installed the Office Accounting 2009 pro version from technet, for what ever 
reason its stuck in express mode on my main system, 
If I install the technet version on a clean system that never had the 
express version it runs in profesional mode.

Ive uninstalled and reinstalled multible times, it will only run in express 
mode on my main pc.

any ideas?
