  • 2. Document Stuck in Printer Que
    Hi, Not sure if I'm in the right newsgroup for my problem. I have a document always showing in the print queue for my printer, but I know that it is no longer there because I can print other documents. Even after rebooting my computer it still shows 1 document in control panel/printers. Is there a way to set it back to 0? Now when I want to print, everything defaults to printing in color. Eventhough I change it back to all black and hit apply, it doesn't stay there. Next time I open my web browser and I want to print something it defaults back to color. This also happens in Outlook. It may be related to the document that is stuck in the print queue defaulting back to the printer preferences for that particular document. I'm at a loss on where to start on correcting this problem.     I have followed the method of attempting to customise the "command/go" menus but the "news" item will not transfer across into the "Go" menu. There is no icon alongside the "news" item. I have a news account running in Outlook Express at present. Can't find anything in Help or on Office online help. All advice greatly appreciated.

    When one of my users uses office 2000 for the first time on a computer, office starts to configure and install office on that computer. This MUST stop. I have users with roaming profiles. These users use computers all over the campus. These users use many of the programs of Office 2000. How can I, as administrator, install Office 2000 and have every one of these users use office 2000 on every computer and NOT HAVE TO INSERT THE OFFICE INSTALLATION CD every first time a user uses an office 2000 program on a particular computer. NO, I can NOT go to each computer, sign on as each user and configure Office and/or change the registry for each user.

5.i am not able to open important excel file

 hi,please help me to open an excel 2003 file which has very important 
data....it may cost my job,if i do not give the info from the file.
when i try to open the excel file,i get the message that :-

the file .xls cannot be accessed.the file may be read-only or you may be 
trying to  access a read-only location or, the server the document is stored 
on may not be responding.

please help me ...i will be thankful for ur help.
