Hello and help, Here is the skinny. I uninstalled office 2003 because it would not let me install a program called MegaStat for excel. I uninstalled it successfully When i tried to reinstall it it continually tells me that I don't have this file C:/Program Files/OfficeUpdate11/Cabs/512142/ Also when I go into the control panel it says that office is still installed, however, when I try to uninstall I get the above error. Has anyone seen/fixed this problem. From the looks of it I may have to wipe my hard drive again and that will be a nightmare considering I am running a 200 gig western digital that windows xp wouldn't recognize last time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can email me at XXXX@XXXXX.COM

I loaded Office Pro 2003 on Windows XP. Then I clicked and dragged Word from the Start menu (All programs) on to my desktop. Now the other users on my machine cannot access Word. How can I make Word accessible to all users of this machine?

When a new program was installed on my computer, my toolbar disappeared. I have recreated, but when I log back in, it does not appear. I created one with excel, word, and other programs I use most frequently. When clicking on Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar, it says that I must select 1 toolbar to run.

  • 5. Old Office Registry Keys
Hi, I have a Dell Latitude laptop running win2k. I started with Office 2000 but have upgraded to Office XP(2002). I noticed that in the registry under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office there are entries for versions 10.0 and 9.0. It seems that all the branches and entries are identical (as near as I can tell) so my question is this: Do I need both sets of keys/values? Or can I dump the entire 9.0 branch? There is also an 8.0 branch with an "Outlook" subkey but the only value there is "First-Run REG_SZ False" which seems to me to be superfluous but also not terribly annoying. So I exported the entire 9.0 branch under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office as well as HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office. I then deleted those branches. Nothing seems amiss. Should I be worried? Thanks, Dewey.

I recently bought a new laptop that runs Vista. I installed my copy of office
2003 on the laptop, it now wants me to accept the licence agreement every
time i open excel or word. Is this normal?

Right-click on an Office program shortcut, choose to run the Office
program as Administrator, accept the EULA, close the Office program, and
then start the Office program normally.

If the previous suggestion doesn't help, then see
http://www.**--****.com/ "You must accept the Office
End User License Agreement every time that you start an Office program".
