  • 1. HOW to remove MSOffice 2003 ???
I want to remove Office 2003 (Dutch) completely from Windows Vista. I neatly used 'remove' from installed software in Vista. Now only the start menu links seem to be removed. I still have a lot of office trash (106 MB!) in folder and sub folders under: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\ \Media \Office11 \Templates Now, that's not what I call removing... :-( I suppose I shouldn't just delete these? How about the register? How do I proceed? -- regards, |\ /| | \/ |@rk \../ \/os
  • 2. 'please wait while windows configures...' message on vista machine
Every time I launch Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, or Access (The whole office 2007 suite except for Outlook) I get the message, "please wait while windows configures microsoft office enterprise 2007" In Outlook I get the same message anytime I send or receive an email. I find tons of posts about this problem and no solutions. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, using the 'install clean up' tool, repairing, office diagnostics... nothing fixes this. Now the file associations aren't even working. A .doc file isn't even associated with Word anymore. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

hi all, I am installing office 2007 from my companys software hub. installation has got to 85% complete and has now stalled. Task manager still shows it as running though. Updating registry box is stopped at 85% and 'copying word...MUI.xml is at 86%. I got an area saying something about powerpoint being unabl;e to install a particular media add-on. i clicked ok to that error message and the installation hasn't moved forward since. when i go to start, Menu, it says new progams installed and office 2007 is showing up. I've opened a document in word and it opens up in 2007. Any ideas?

Can I install Office 2003 over 2000 or 2002 without uninstalling o

I am working with a non-profit org. They purchased Office Pro 2003. A
couple of their PC's have Office 2000 and 2002. Do I need to uninstall the
old version or will Office 2003 Pro install on top of older versions without
loosing address books, emails and other settings?

Thanks in advance.

Its always a good idea to back up the pst files first for safe keeping
Office 2003 will migrate any email settings and accounts during the set up
when all goes well

4.Will Access 2002/2000 or Visio 2002/2000 work with MS Office 2003

We are about to deploy several thousand desktops with Windows XP Professional and Office 2003 Standard Edition. Hundreds of our users are licensed for Visio 2000 or 2002 and Access 2000 or 2002.

Will these programs run ok with Office 2003 SE?
If so, are there any special installation steps (e.g., install Access 200x first)?

Thanks for any help.

5.Can't run Outlook on Office XP 2002 after uninstalling Office 2003 Beta

I uninstalled the Office 2003 beta and ran the Office XP
2002 installation about 3 times now. I ran into a few
error messages when trying to use Outlook the first time.
I'm stuck on one that says: The procedure entry point
DDCS_Uninit@4 could not be located in the dynamic link
library MSMAPI32.dll. The next error says
CbPhysicalMemory@0 could not be located in MAPI32.dll.

Does anyone have any ideas other than to reformat and
start all over with XP from ground 0?
