  • 2. Microsoft Document Imaging viewer gone after update
Some time in the last couple weeks, presumably with the latest rounds of updates, suddenly neither my wife's PC or my PC have the MDI viewer any longer. We both have the Microsoft Document Imaging printer and can create MDI files, we just can't see them. Because we have used MDI format for storing online receipts and more for several years, this is a real problem not to be able to see those documents! First, why would Microsoft issue an update that removes a feature? These documents that we have created over the years are very important to us and suddenly we cannot access them. Second, which update did it? Will uninstalling the update restore our PC? Please help. Regards, Dale
  • 3. Office 2007 updates called out for Office 2003
I am running Windows XP Professional V2002 SP3 and have Office 2003 installed. I went to Windows Update and selected Express. Windows update returned a bunch of recommended updates for Office 2007. I do not have the Office 2007 Compatibility pack installed. Should I download and install the recommended updates for Office 2007 when I am running Office 2003? If I do install them will they affect my Office 2003 programs? Thanks, Dan
