I would like to download an entire collection. I have broadband so it would not take long. However I have to go through ticking every box which is quite tedious to be honest. Please solve my problem for me!!!

I have saved the upgrade to my desktop 3 times now. I want to run it and the computer tells me it is not a valid WIN32 application. I disabled the virus program and the firewall as that was one thing I read to do if downloading was a problem.

I just installed Office Student & Teacher 2003, and went
to the support web to check for any updates. KB828041
was selected. After downloading, the Installation Result
is "Installation Unsuccessful."

What can I do to install this update?

find the installation file on your hard drive and run it locally. Use
Windows Search and search by date, using advanced option to search all
hidden file and folders and system files.

3.MS Office Critical Update KB828041

I tried to update my two PCs using the office update
site. The site recognised that both PCs needed this
update so I tried to install it. However, both PCs came
up saying that the install was unsuccessful. Both PCs
have Windows XP Pro and Office Student & Teacher Edition
2003. Both are also running Norton AV 2004. Grateful
for advice on how I can overcome this. Cheers

4.critical update KB828041

Hi I just got a new computer and went to load MS Office
Pro on it. After the installation it checked for updates
and told me to download the one referred to above.
However, every time I tried to download it I got a
message saying installation was unsuccessful. It never
gave me an error message or reason why.

There are no earlier versions of MS office on this
computer and I was not even sure if I needed this update,
but the website told me I did.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

5.Office 2003 Critical Updates won't Install

I have 7 critical updates for various Office 2003 products that will not
install, either manually or via Automation Update.

There is no error code given, just the message "Updates were unable to be
sucessfully installed - The following updates were not installed:" followed
by a listing of the specific updates.

This occurs whether via auto update, by my initiating the updates, by
attempting to update upon shut down of Windows XP, or by downloading the full
version from the Microsoft download site.

I thought that Knowledge Base article 875556 might be the answer, but none
of the suggested solutions there worked either.

I tried to use the Local Installation Source (LIS) tool, but it won't
operate is it thinks that updates are being installed. I think it sees the
updates and wants those done first.

I know of no way to delete the pending updates so I can run the LIS.

My environment is Windows XP SP-2 with all updates (which automatically
installs just fine), and Office 2003 Student and Teacher edition with latest
SP installed.

In reference to article 875556, there is not a C:\MSOCache folder on my hard

Any help will be appreciated.
