    I purchased Office XP standard Version and installed it on my computer. My old computer died from disk failure and I bought a new computer. It came with Office XP SBE. The Standard Version contained Microsoft Powerpoint, which was not in the SBE version. How can I install Microsoft Powerpoint from the Office XP Standard version and retain all "as is" on my Office XP SBE version? Thank You

    When I down load this update it asks for the Office 2000 CD of course. When I load the disk it says the path Microsoft Office 2000 can not be found. When I try to pull up the DATA1 installation file from the disk it says this file is not valid. I am now stuck, can not complete my updates & can not load new software vital to my business.HELP! the Office shortcut bar has been removed in Office 2003.  If you want it
back, you need to install a previous version.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.

If you still have Office XP on your machine - go to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10 and find 'msoffice.exe'.  Double
click on it and after the toolbar shows up, check the option to run on
startup.

bar from office xp. As I didn't run the installation routine the shortcut

Hi,

The Office XP Shortcut Bar can load, and it sits along the right side of my
screen, but when I click any of the buttons on it, I get the "Open With"
dialog.

If I explore to the folder where all these Shortcut Bar shortcuts exist, and
then click on each shortcut individually in Windows Explorer, they launch!

I can't seem to run anything from the Shortcut Bar.  I've done a "Office XP
Repair" function, and also an full uninstall/re-install.  The Shortcut Bar
still looks OK, but none of the buttons launch anything.

P.S. > Oh, one more thing.  If I create a shortcut to a program on the
Shortcut bar and try to launch it, it opens the "Open With" dialog.  If the
shortcut's a folder, it works.  But, if the shortcut's to an MS-DOS program,
Windows locks-up.
