I have recently installed Office 2007 - upgrading from 2000. I am now being nagged in install an update to Windoes Desktop Search (to 3.01). I have tried to do this, but the install fails telling me to firstly uninstall a previous version of WDS. -- However, there is no indication of how to do this. There is now Windows Desktop Search in Add/Remove programs and my feeble attempts to search Help have been frustrating and fruitless. Surely, I'm not the only person the have this ... can anyone tell me what I'm missing. tim

I am trying to download an update to Office Professional Edition 2003. Each time I get a validation notice of This computer has failed validation. The product key used to install Office has been blocked by Microsoft. I have a perfectly valid and not a counterfeit copy of the CD. Why is Microsoft stating the above? Would someone please direct me on how to handle this error and also to allow me to continue to do downloads. Thank you.
  • 3. Office 2003 SP3 and Citrix Printing failing
Hello, I am having Office applicatation errors on my terminal/citrix servers after installing Office 2003 SP3. The print spooler goes off into never-never land from time to time on my servers and it is driving me crazy! I have read several write-ups and none of the fixes have helped for any extended period. I have tried deleting all of the Normal.dot files off of the terminal servers and my profile server and this appeard to work for about two days. Then I tried doing a repair on the Office product on each server, fixed the problem for a day or so. Lately I have been deleting the user profiles off of the terimal servers, and again this is having limited success. I have just recently started stopping the Citrix print spooler and Windows print spooler on the server that is going into never-never land and then restarting the services. This appears to work but eventually the server needs to be "fixed" again. Is this problem as wide spread as I suspect it to be and is there a fix someone can sugest? thanks in advance dc
  • 4. Activation problem
I have had Office 2003 Professional installed for some time. When I try to run Office Update, I get a message saying Office Products Not Activated. When I open any of the Office Products, I don't see the Activation Wizard as I activated upon initial install. If I click on Help and Activation, I see a message saying Office Product is already activated. Catch-22! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Office 2007 has been available since Sunday - what do you see if you click the Applications radio button for available application downloads? Perhaps your license does not allow for Office 2007 downloads?

Also, in operating systems I noticed that vist Upto RC2 were removed.

Have you refreshed the site several times? The servers are getting slammed which is why Vista (especially 64 bit) has been removed.

All I can say is to keep trying - I got Office last Sunday but I had a heckuva time getting Vista Friday.

MSDN Academic Alliance. I talked to MSDN and accordingly they said we donot
have Office 2007 suite but have some applications such as Access, Visio,
Project and One Note. However, even these are not available as of todate.

Vista RTM Buisness edition will be made availabe to us in December or so.
