I am trying to install Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 (had Microsoft 2003). I get the following error: Error 1311. Source file not found: D:\SKU112.CAB. Does anyone know how to find the source file or to fix the error in step by step fashion?

Ok, I have determined more information. It appears to be related to having installed "Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office system". This pack, I am unable to remove because I no longer have Office 2003. And it is causing me to be unable to install these updates to Office 2007. Is there anyone with advice on how to remove this compatibility pack when it is no longer being used?

The patch will run fine before SP1 is installed but after 
SP1 is install I receive an error basically saying it is 
not finding the application it is looking for.
I know you are saying just install the patch first 
however there are alot of computer in my office that 
already have SP1.

This is because kb838905 is actually rolled up into SP1.  If you have SP1 
installed this is already on your system.  You can check for the patches you 
need by going to  http://www.**--****.com/ 
updates.

Whenever I try to install OneNote 2003 SP1 or Office 2003 SP1 full-file
service packs, I get "missing CAB file" errors.

5.Office 2003 SP1: error can't install SP1

Downloaded office2003sp1-kb842532-fullfile-nld.exe

When I choose to install and accept the license, the 
computer is busy for a while with extracting the files. 

Then the dialog comes: can't install this update (in 
Dutch: "Kan de update niet installeren."

Who can help?
