microsoft update does not work for office 2003 since my version is

Postby bGlldmVubWU » Thu, 26 Mar 2009 18:40:14 GMT

I am a vista home premium user. a week ago I had an invalid office2003
version, due to an error of my school. Now I installed a valid
KIS-contract-version, validated by ms-genuine.

However, I don't receive SP3 and other necessary updates.

When I run microsoft update from the V6-website, I get
 http://www.**--****.com/
followed by a "windows update"-window saying me that "windows is up-to-date".

I know this isn't true, while I installed on a desktop in xp home too, and
there I got many updates.

Can you please help me? Thanks a lot.

Are you just using Windows Update or Microsoft Update?
In Vista - you update through the control panel not from the website.

Windows Update or Microsoft Update
 http://www.**--****.com/

Note: If SP 1 is installed the option to start using Microsoft Update is
under Change Settings.

2.outlook 2003 actions not updated in office when done remotely & vice versa

Hi All,

I have seen vague references to this problem but couldn't find what I
am looking for...

We have Outlook 2003 at the office running in Cached Exchange Mode and
Exchange Server 2003. I also have a number of users connecting to
Outlook through our Terminal Server (Remote Desktop connection not
RPC).

The problem is - I've had a couple of users complain that when they
make a change (say, mark an item as unread) remotely, that change has
not been updated at the office the next day. I invoked the Send/Receive
and this worked for one item - but the problem seems to occur
periodically. I have now also had a user say that this happens the
other way round - office to home does not update correctly.

History: The main reason we upgraded from 2000 to 2003 on the Terminal
Server was because users were experiencing problems such as losing
views and settings when they did something remotely, even if they made
no such changes.

Is this a Cached Exch M problem? This option is greyed out on the
Terminal Server Outlook for security I presume.

Thanks in advance ppl!

3.Interop.Excel version 11 does not work with Office 2003 sp2

Hi,

We just upgraded to MS office 2003 sp2. We used the Interop.Excel version
11.xxxx in VS.net 2003 to generate the excel spreadsheet. It no longer works
in sp2 environment. We've got "Rejected Safe Mode action : Microsoft Office
Excel." exception and then "Faulting application excel.exe, version
11.0.6560.0, stamp 4296b6f2, faulting module mso.dll, version 11.0.6568.0,
stamp 42e18ef6, debug? 0, fault address 0x0003446c." exception.

Thanks for your help in advance!

5.microsoft office 97 and trial version Microsoft Office 2003

I purchased a new computer that included the trial version of Office 2003. I
did not install the 97 version but installed the backed up folders that
included several word documents.
I tried to email a document but the receiving end could not open the file. I
had no problem with the previous version when I included word files in my
emails.
My question is, if I decide to uninstall the trial version 2003 and install
my older 97 version will I be able to still see the files properly? Have they
been converted to the new version when I opened the files? How can I tell,
and to be honest I do not wish to loose any of the files I had due to
reverting to the older version.
