Hi, I have a central Office 2003 install point with several CMWs that do different things, so I'm not using SETUP.INI. What I'm wondering about is how to effectively chain the MUI after the Office install. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks, Craig
  • 2. Office 2003 SP3 Update - Cannot Boot
Upon turning my computer on after completing the Office 2003 SP3 update, my computer fails to boot. The specific message says "No boot device available." Going into the boot sequence within the BIOS setup utility (Dell) lists five devices (onboard or USB floppy, onboard SATA, onboard IDE, onboard or USB CD, and USB device). All five of them or "not present", though. Does any one have any suggestions?

Hi, I'm looking to create one central install point for Office 2003, with both SP3 and the French MUI included. I know how to slipstream SP3 in, but is it possible to slipstream the MUI in as well? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Craig
  • 4. Problem in Access with Occove 2003 SP3
In Access 2003, I have a Combo box in a form with one of the columns formatted Yes/No (the table the data comes from is also yes/no data). When the Combo Box was dropped-down, the column correctly showed "Yes" or "No"...until I installed Office 2003 SP3. Now, the column shows "-1" or "0" now matter that the format property is set to "Yes/No". Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? Brossyg

I was working in powerpoint when it crashed. I sent the error and it came
back that I should update. The update needed was Service Pack 3. When I tried
to download it, I got a message that I had to insert the CD which I don't
have since the program came with the computer. It is looking for the file:
wordret.msi
Can anyone help or tell me where I can get this file?
Thanks

Hi Debby,

MS requires PC suppliers to provide the CD for the
MS Office or MS Works Suite products installed on a PC.

WordRet.MSI would be on CD#1 of the MS Works Suite CD.

3.Missing file: wordret.msi

I am having a similar problem to Dumana's. I cannot install updates (Office
Service Pack 3) because of a missing file, wordret.msi. This file can't be
located on my hard drive or on my Office 2000 Premium SR-1 CD, and using the
"Detect and Repair" function on MS Word (as recommended on the Assistance
page of the MS website) didn't help. I don't have Microsoft Works installed
on my computer, and there is no separate listing for MS Word on the "Add or

could somebody please help?

4.WORDRET.MSI error

HELP

My laptop comes with XP and Word 2002 pre installed as an OEM.

I was trying to spring clean my hard disk thismorning, and deleted the
contents of my loginname/local/temp folder

I sat and watched it delete loads of files - great.

However, no my laptop seems stuffed when I try to a, Open Word and b, open
certain web pages (mainly microsoft ones)

A MS Word 2002 installer box opens and keeps trying to find a file called
WORDRET.MSI

It asks for the installer disk, which I dont have. If I hit cancel a few
times, eventually it seems to run Word. The same thing happens when I open
IE6 on certain pages.

Here's the catch - the file WORDRET.MSI is one that was deleted during the
clean out of the TEMP folder - and guess what - I shredded the files so cant
get it back.

Any ideas :-)

Thanks

The Pleb
