Office 2000 updates have to be installed individually; why will they all not install from "Agree & Install" button? Thanks!
  • 4. Upgrade eligibililty
I paid for a boxed version of Access 2000. I have an OEM version of PowerPoint 2002. I have a trial version of Office 2003 and the trial runs out on Jan 31. I want to buy the Office 2007 professional upgrade. I see on the MS site since I have Access 2000, I should be eligible for the upgrade price. Problem: 2007 will probably not be available by then. So I'm considering buying the 2003 Office Pro Upgrade, and then submitting for the free 2007 upgrade. However, the 2003 upgrade appears to require a previous version of the entire office, not just Access. Interesting, though, when I installed the office 2003 trial, it said it was going to update, since it found a MS office component already installed. SO, what can I economically do to maintain a working copy of Office?

I purchased a PC with Office 2003 Student & Teacher pre-installed (60 day
trial). After upgrading from Windows XP Home to Windows XP Pro, I purchased
the Office 2003 Professional Upgrade. It installed OK. When I try to
install Service Pack 1, Office is looking for KU112.cab It isn't on the
Office 2003 Professional Upgrade CD and I never received a CD with the
pre-installed version. I can install Service Pack 1 without it. What do I
do now?

Does the S&T edition even *qualify* for an upgrade? I
thought S&T editions weren't in the upgrade path.

2.Upgrading MS Office 2003 SME with MS Office 2003 Pro Upgrade Disk

I bought an Office 2003 Pro upgrade disk a couple of years back. A new user
has just started at the company with a Vista Business laptop running Office
2003 SME. I have both disks and packages and licence keys. Yet the Upgrade
will not recognise the SME version. (it won't even recognise an Office 97
Pro disk for that matter) and throws and error before aborting.

Can anyone advise if this is a function of Vista Business, or Office SME.
For the record all my other users were upgraded from Office 97 Pro to 2003
pro via the same method without hitch (on XP pro). I have downloaded Office
2003 SP3 in readiness, assuming I can get the soft3ware to upgrade in the
first place.
Any thoughts, please?

4.Missing file SKU112.CAB in Office Professional 2003 Upgrade

I just purchased an HP Pavilion a1247 computer with MS Works 8 installed on
it, and the trial version of Office Student & Teacher. The operating system
is Windows XP Media Center Edition. I purchased Office Professional Edition
2003 Upgrade, because I have MS Works already installed on the machine, and
the software box states I am eligible.

Each time I start one of the programs (Excel, Word, etc.), I get an install
error because file SKU112.CAB is missing. I have searched for this hidden
file, but I can't find it. I've also seen that there have been other users on
non-MS sites that have had the same problem. How can I get this missing file?
