I think I've observed that in Excel 2000, when you press F9, only the current worksheet updates. But in 2003, when you press F9, every worksheet opened up by Excel updates. Is this F9 issue correct? How can I only update the current worksheet in Excel 2003 (if what I observed is correct)?
  • 4. Cannot install updates for Office 2003 pro
I am trying to update my Office 2003 Pro, but cannot install the updates. I am able to get the wizard page to check for available updates I need, and actuall will go to the page that lists all the updates it will install. Now comes the problem. I first started getting an error message saying it could not find PRO11.msi file, and to get installation disk. At the time, I did not have the disk available, and tried it again after I found the CD. Now, when it comes time to install the updates found, I do not get the link or option that tells me that it cannot find the PRO11.msi file, and just starts trying to install the updates. After about five minutes I get an error saying the installation of updates failed and shows all the updates, about 4 of them, that did not install properly. My question is, why do I not get the prompt to look for the PRO11.msi file any longer, as I can now point it the CD, which I did see that file on? Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem
  • 5. Need assistance with Office 2003 Updates
    I just spent a lot of time downloading all the "recommended" updates for Office 2003. I have just recently upgraded to Office 2003 Standard Edition which only has Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. After all the files were downloaded, and the install process commenced, I was asked for the disk containing Front Page, which of course I don't have. Is there a way to get around this? Thanks! Hi;

If you visit this site
( http://www.**--****.com/ ) and click the
"Check for Updates" in the top section under Office Update it will scan your
system, show the updates you need, then download/install them. BTW, that's
the same website you get to if you open an Office 2003 application and click
Help/Check for Updates.

That isn't exactly like the AutoUpdate feature of Windows Update, but is
easier than manually downloading/installing each update one at a time.

Later this year, Microsoft will be merging the Office Updates with Windows
Update so you should be able to automate it. The announcement will, most
likely, make at least the trade newspapers so you should see it when it
happens.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, david asked:
