Just purchased this program, it recommended I check for updates. Have gone round and round on the downloads page but don't know what I need or how to get it. Also when I added this package there was no option to upgrade the program I already had, so now I have 2. Is there a way to combine them or am I stuck with files in 2 programs? Thanks!

I was just wondering do you recommend installing SP2 for Windows XP Pro? I
heard alot of the programs out there had alot of problems with the system
and its not worth it. If you have new fixes please let me know. I been in
Korea and do not want to load this due to I do not have a recovery disc.

Thanks,

SP-2 is a major security update for Windows XP. I always recommend
installing it. Depending on the programs that you also have installed, you
will need to visit the vendor sites to get updates that will make them
compliant with Windows XP SP-2.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without

2.Installing Office 2000 SP on Windows XP

I'm getting a new XP computer but staying with Office 2000

3.Unknown message is shown when any action is done 2003 XP SP

I have installed the microsoft office 2003 and I had no problems using VB6
and msaccess as a database. When I installed SP2, an "Unknown" message is
shown every time I try to open a table or editing it. The message shown from
the msaccess is just Unknown, having no extra error description. When I
close the message, the msaccess is forced to close down by the system and a
report is then sent to microsoft. When I run my VB6 programs, I get the
Unknown error message and the following as well: Run-time error '-2147217900
(80040e14)': Unknown.
Every time the error "Unknown" is shown I try to open
another database again at the same time the report is being sent to
microsoft, another different error is shown having the following description:
Object Library Not Registered.

I have uninstalled the microsoft office and installed the office 2003 again,
but still showing the message.

Can anyone help me out please?

4.Developing in Access XP runtime and windows XP SP 2

When I create a runtime Access XP with the package and deployment tools of
Access Developer I always get 3 messages.
1. first ; "The Packaging Wizard cannot find one or more of the required
Access components in the language you selected. Select Create New to create
a new set of Access... etc...". I checked the Q321000 of MSDN and I skipped
(solved) it.
2. Second Message ;
"The office system Pack cannot be installed on this system because the
languages are not the same. Install the office system pack for the
appropriate language on your computer. For assistance, contact your
application provider". I skipped that using the solution No 826280 of MSDN.
Afterwards
3. Third Message. "The office System Pack cannot be installed on this system
because it requires Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 or Later. Again another
Solution Q837150 of MSDN.
These messages doesn't show up on Windows XP proffesional or Home with
Service Pack 1.
Is it a patch or Service pack which solve all this problems without using
all this MSDN tips?
I need to deliver my access application and I am afraid of encountering
problems on installation. If Microsoft solve that bug please show me the
link or what patch to download.
