How did you get them onto your computer? Generally they download and then
install themselves.

I do not know how they came to my Computer. I think since I am using Office
2007 , so they came to my PC. The updates are
Security Update for Microsoft Office system 2007 (KB951808)
Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB950378)
Security Update for Microsoft Office Publisher 2007 (KB950114)
Security Update for Microsoft Office Word 2007 (KB950113)

Please tell me how to install those.

Here is a canned solution with errors 57A and 57E and downloading these updates manually from the Office Update site

Most people had success with this error code 57A by inserting the Office install CD in their CD\DVD Rom while installing and also by disabling their Anti Virus and Security suites while the installation takes place while being OFF Line. After a successful install make sure you re-able your AV and Security programs before going on line again.

i Peter,

I inserted the Office install disc in the CD\DVD Rom while installing the
updates. I tuned off Norton while running the install but again had failure.
The following is a list of the last successful Office 2007 updates excluding
plain windows updates

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB952142) Installation date:
/6/008 3:00 AM

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 1 (SP1) Installation
date: /7/008 12:20 PM

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB952142) Installation date:
/7/008 12:21 PM

2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 1 (SP1) Installation date:
/7/008 12:23 PM

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 1 (SP1) Installation
date: /7/008 12:59 PM

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB952142) Installation date:
/7/008 1:00 PM

2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 1 (SP1) Installation date:
/7/008 1:02 PM

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 1 (SP1) Installation
date: /2/008 7:54 AM

As you can see I have successfully installed SP1 on a couple of occasions.
The last successful Office related update was on 8/22. Since then everything
for Office 2007 has failed.

Any suggestions?

There is a recent update for excell 2003 security, but each time I try to

2.Unable to install latest updates

I have been unable to install the latest office updates:

Security Update for Excel - KB905756
Outlook Update - KB913807
Outlook Junk Mail update - KB913161

I have searched out several suggested solutions (temp disable microsoft

If you use the automatic update system, the OS updates seem to work OK, it
is only the Office updates.

Does anyone have any other suggestions

3.Unable to open Outlook 2007 after installing the latest patchs

My system automatically downloaded this weeks patches and after they were
installed I find that Outlook 2007 won't load. I have tried safe mode, and

4.Unable to install Outlook 2007 after Office 2007 Pro install

I've installed Office 2007 Pro on most of our WinXP PC's installing most of
the other programs except Outlook 2007 due to more testing. I had used the
documented method of running Setup with the /admin switch to create a .MST
file. When I run the Setup program on a system that has Office 2007 installed
and select ADD/REMOVE FEATURES, I click the red X next to Microsoft Office
Outlook 2007, the selection says "NOT AVAILABLE" and no other options!!!! It
doesn't matter if I use the same .MST file I orginally configured, make up a
new .MST file with Outlook seleted or re-run Setup from the original CD!!!
Previous versions of office allowed you to add/remove programs from the Setup
program, so this looks like a step backwards in Setup functionality.
Is there a way for me to actually add Outlook 2007 without having to
uninstall the whole Office package and re-install the whole thing?

5.Office update unable to check for updates - Office 2007

I'm getting the dreaded "Office update is unable to check for updates" error
when checking for updates to an installed Office 2007 system. I have had
this error on an Office 2003 system, and was able to cure it using a utility
provided by MS: OUCPR.EXE, which I think deletes the registry entries for
certain Office items.

My question is: Can I run that same utility in an Office 2007 environment?
If not, is there an equivalent utility for Office 2007? And if the answer to
that is no, what's the *easiest, least error-prone* set of steps to take to
get me past this problem?

Thanks.
