My Add/Remove Software list is pretty cluttered up with programs that I no longer want there. But I can't find any options to remove the items. Even after uninstalling the software, they remain in the list. Is there a way to remove these unwanted items? Thanks Mike
  • 2. WM5 Pocket Excel Problem
I posted this some time ago and Ed posted an answer I couldn't understand so I gave up. Now it's time to get some more PDA's for my guys so I need to solve the problem which is as follows. I use a macro triggered by Microsoft Scheduler to open my Access 2000 database and email the results of a query using the SendObject action Output Format Microsoft Excel (*.xls) . This works fine on the PDA's running 2003 but on the one running WM5 I get the error message "an error occurred reading (qryNightly) because the file is in an invalid format". When I changed the macro to code it showed the format as Biff8 so I guess its sending in 97-2002 format. The strange thing is that if I choose file export manually and then email it the WM5 PDA can open the spreadsheet. So the workaround I'm looking for is in Microsoft Access 2000 to make sure the macro prepares the excel file in the correct format. Any help / suggestions where to find the answer would be appreciated. Mike
