  • 1. Replacing font colors in all text boxes in a show
Hello folks, A repost of a query I posted with a more relevant subject line this time (apologies for bandwidth) I've inherited a rather large PowerPoint show which is a bit of a mess! Every bulleted list has actually been achieved by inserting six text boxes. I now need to apply a new corporate logo which is only visible on a light background. The problem is the old background was dark and so the letters were a very light blue. With the new background the text is almost invisible, slightly looking for a way to replace the font colour throughout the slideshow. It looks like no use is made at all of master slides so there's no apparent way to my novice PowerPoint eye to fix this without a great deal of pointing clicking. I'm dictating this message with voice recognition thanks to the delights of RSI, and pointing and clicking by voice hundreds of times would be rather labourious. Can anyone suggest a solution either to replace the font colour in every text box, or to somehow convert what looked like bullet lists but are really text boxes into real bullet lists? 1000 thanks, Rob

If you have text on a slide and you want to reapply a table format to that slide, it puts the table on top of the text. Any ideas

update .gif urls

Is it possible for me to make a button in powerpoint that when I click it, it will *update the pictures url?

*the picture's name may change, it would be refreshed by the newest date.

You can't do that with a button, but if you insert a picture (your gif?) in
a presentation and you select the link option, the picture will be updated
with the current version of the image. This is useful when the image
requires changing. However, the name must be the same.

3.Updating one Excel chart in my PowerPoint file updates all graphs

Hi,
using Office 2007 I have created 6 graphs (for 6 different KPI:s) in an
Excel file.
The graphs can be simultaneously updated by selecting a (Geography)
parameter in the same file. I copy/paste the 6 graphs of Geography#1 into
PowerPoint, then I change the geography parameter and copy/paste the next 6
graphs (of Geography#2) and so on.
When done, I have a PowerPoint file with 54 slides. (6 KPI:s * 9 Geographies),

bu

when I "edit data" in one of the graphs - all the graphs are updated - to
the same geography.

How can I prevent this massive update from happening, without losing the
possibility to update the individual sheets?

Thanks in advance!

4.Problems with Office X after updating with 10.1.6 security update

Hello,

I've updated office X to version 10.1.6 using the recently developed
security update. I've encountered some problems with files that I had
previously made using powerpoint. Seems as if the updated version of
powerpoint will no longer open some of these files. The exact error
message I receive is as follows:

PowerPoint cannot read HD:Users:reddog:Desktop:235 presentation.ppt.

After uninstalling the 10.1.6 and reinstalling Office up to the 10.1.5
update, everything opened fine. So, I'm guessing this recent update
is the culprit (although I'm sure I could be wrong). Please let me
know if you have any advice on what might be causing this issue and
how to remedie it. For now, I'll stick to the previous version of
Office X.

Sincerely,

Dave O.

5.Enable Office Update removal of selected updates

Windows Update provides a means by which you can semi-permanently remove
certain updates that you don't want or need to install. Office Update has no
similar capability. I have no interest in applying the current French
Grammar update and would like to be able to remove it from subsequent Office
Updte runs.
