  • 1. SmartArt Graphic Content Placeholders in PPT 2007
Hello, Is there a way to set Content Placeholders in SmartArt so that two lines of text can appear one at at time? For example, I inserted the SmartArt graphic "Chevron List" from the Process category. I then put an extra line of text in one of the Content Placeholders (like two bullet points) but I cannot set the lines of text to appear one at a one time (with separate mouse clicks). I've tried this in many of the SmartArt graphic Content Placeholders with no luck. Is there a way to do this or are the Content Placeholders fixed so that no matter how many lines of text you add they must all appear at once? Thank you.

  • 3. Font Size in Template
I am trying to create a template to be used for bible quotes. Each week I get a list of the bible quotes my pastor plans on using on Sunday in a WORD doc and I need to copy and paste them into Powerpoint. Unfortunately when I cut and past from WORD into PPT the font size changes. Does anyone have any ideas how I can make this work so I don't have to reformat every slide after cutting and pasting?
  • 4. Power point slide show view
OS: XP Microsoft Office: 2003 SP2 I have a dvd of several power points I would like to view in slide show format. However, no matter which way I select power point slide show, nothing happens but another tab appears in the task bar and I cannot open it. I tried saving files to local C: drive. I can play in slide show view from a different machine so I did a detect and repair on my local machine without luck. I uninstalled and reinstalled office suite without improvement. I have looked through all options in the application and do not find anything that maybe instigator. Anyone have solution for me?? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

unable to save the links in a 450 slides document

Postby Sthane Brocas » Sun, 14 Sep 2003 00:50:43 GMT

I work on a quite big doucment (450 slides and it's not
finished). There are a lot of hyperlinks in the document
(to other pages, other documents...). At that time, I'm
not able to add other hyperlinks. They are not saved when
I save & opent the software. Do you know if there is a
theoritical limit for the size of a document or number of
links ?

You haven't mentioned the PowerPoint version you are using. In version prior
to XP, the hyperlinks information are stored in a 64kb storage space within
the document, most of which is already taken up by PPT to store file
properties etc. Hence
there is a limit to the number of links that can be created within the
presentation which is dependent on the available space. Once exceeded, links
do tend to go for a toss.

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

If your working in other than XP, your probably exceeding the storage space that windows allows (64kb) for storage of all this stuff. It does not take very long for long filenames and hyperlinks to eat up this space.
