I'd like to do a user selected pop-up box for a web page. I've created a standard presentation and now want to deploy it over the web to those that couldn't make the meeting. Is there any kind of command I can use that will automatically resize everything proportionately? Let me know and thanks!
  • 3. Automatic Font Switching for Palatino Linotype
On some of the PCs I use, PowerPoint 2003 will do automatic font switching from Palatino Linotype to Arial when I attempt to insert characters from the Latin Extended-A subset. All I can find from Help and online elsewhere is that "There are some fonts that do not support specific languages." When one tries to use characters in a font that doesn't have those characters, a different font will be substituted. Palatino Linotype, however, is a unicode font and includes the full range of characters. This font also works on some of the computers I use at work, and it used to work on my home PC until I upgraded from OfficeXP 2002 to 2003. Palatino Linotype isn't even listed as an option in the "complex scripts font" pull-down menu under Format Font. All I can guess is that there's a problem with mapping to this OpenType font. Suggestions? Patches? Thanks. ATD

Surch Macro for changing diagramcolor

Postby Roland » Wed, 10 Sep 2003 19:14:48 GMT

I surch a VB-code for changing diagramcolor in PowerPoint
2002 because I can't define the fillcolor in a diagram-
template.

The file GRUSRGAL.GRA defines the diagramtype, linecolor,
diagrambackground and even more, but not the fillcolor.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks
Roland

Roland,

I don't know anything about VB, but...

I have PowerPoint 2002. I searched my hard drive to find GRUSRGAL.GRA and I
don't have it. Where si this file located, and do you have a reference to
what it does?

Glen and Roland,

AFAIK the file GRUSRGAL.GRA is not on your PC by default, but it is created
the first time you save a custom layout for MS Graph diagrams. And please
note: it resides on your hard drive, it doesn't travel with your
presentation.

I have been working with custom layouts for diagrams, when I defined a
gradient fillcolor, it was saved without problems. But please don't ask me
how to address it with VBA, this could be a bit difficult, because MS Graph
is a separate program, working like an add-in, it's not part of the
PowerPoint program itself.

Kind regards,
Ute

Ute,

That's good to know. It's years since I did a custom graph. Sometimes I
really *miss* Excel.

1.Change Slide With Macro

Ok in my ppt i have some of the developer image boxes what i want to happen
is when i click on them for it to go to a certain slide

Please don't say use a hyper link theres no option to do so

So what i need is the code to change the slide to a desired slide

(i cant just use an image cause the images have code in them to do other
stuff and this cant be accomplished without that code)

2.Macro or VBA to Accept Slide Changes

Hi,

I want all changes in slides in MOSS 2007 slide library to be automatically
accepted in PPT 2007 presentation when presentation is opened, so user is
not even presented with dialog requesting to accept changes or not.

It doesn't appear that there is a checkbox option for allowing all slide
changes to be accepted automatically instead of displaying the dialog at
each opening.

Hence, I need a macro or VBA code to trap the Check for Updates event on
presentation opening and just accept all changes.

Can someone help me get started with this?

Thanks.

3.Macro for changing the colors of objects based on user input

Here's my problem:
I take hours creating an architecture blue print/flow chart and my boss
doesn't approve some of the colors in the legend. At times there are atleast
20-30 objects with that color and it takes me AGES to change the color( to be
told that i need to change the color yet again). Its a very suboptimal way of
changing the presentation and i am figuring out how to do it using VBA:
Here is what i want to achieve( in edit or presentation mode):

1. Take input from user about which color to change (R,G,B value). I'll
store it as OldColor
2. Take input from user about which color to change to (R,G,B value). I'll
store it as NewColor
3. Find all objects on current slide whose color is OldColor and change to
NewColor

here is my broken code as of now:
"
Dim NewColor As Long
Dim OldColor As Long
Dim x, y, z As Integer

take input from user for color to change in the form of RGB into variables
x,y,z
OldColor = RGB(x, y, z)
' Take input from user for color to change to: in the form of RGB into
variables x,y,z
NewColor = RGB(x, y, z

' Select current slide.
  Dim currentslide As Long
  currentslide = ActiveWindow.Selection.SlideRange.SlideIndex
for all shapes in currentslide with Fill.ForeColor.RGB == OldColor
   change Fill.ForeColor.RGB = NewColor

Any thoughts? suggestions
